These stories were very encouraging and uplifting to me. Whenever I felt discouraged or down, I would read a story or two and be reminded of how much the Lord loves me and is involved in my life.

This is an inspiring and captivating collection of angel stories. This book is not only a great gift for someone, but, if you are going through some daunting challenges yourself, gift YOU with this wonderful work by Joan Webster Anderson. She has truly outdone herself this time.I could not put this one down! Each vignette lets us know that there are certain situations that simply could not be coincidence. For example, the pilot who put his badly destroyed plane down successfully without injury, the pregnant women who successfully drove to find her husband in a tornado, all the while sensing that an unseen pair of hands were on the wheel for assistance, or the lucid dream warning that came to a woman about the health of someone she barely knew, which proved to be a dire warning this woman must act on.Did you ever look into the eyes of a little child, or sense them following "someone who wasn't there"? Children have an amazing capability for sensing angels, spirits, and otherworldly beings because their minds are not cluttered with day to day thoughts and have no fear that "someone will think they are crazy"To quote the book, "When people are more like angels, earth will be more like Heaven". Now wouldn't you like that! This book is highly recommended!

Even though I'd read this already, I love being able to pick up my spirits by enjoying these exciting stories again & again. They just don't get old or out-dated. When you feel alone, you find great comfort in knowing that you really are not. You are watched, and helped, comforted, all the time, in every situation no matter the feelings and it is just so inspiring to know the miracles experienced by others can be experienced by you even when you feel there is no hope. To know you are so loved and cared for makes this physical journey worth it. Joan W A is my favorite author. You can really relate to her writings. She is so down to earth...intelligent but not complicated. She's like the neighbor you wish lived next door.

In The Arms of Angels - True Stories of Heavenly Guardians is a comforting affirmation of God's unconditional love for all of us. It is a reassuring reminder that we are being watched over, guided and protected by His heavenly messengers. It left me with a feeling of peace and the resolve to become more aware of and attuned to those around me whose lives I touch and/or who have touched and made a positive difference in mine. I walk away from this book with a sense of gratitude.

The author has collected many accounts of angelic influences and encounters, and has shared them using beautifully written words. Reading this book has been faith building, comforting and challenging.My faith was built up as I was reminded that angels are all around us as they intercede on our behalf and prompt us to help others through good works and prayers.I was comforted as I was reminded that we are not alone, especially during sad and dangerous times.I was challenged to look for and listen to angelic prompts that encourage me to reach out to others...to share hugs, words and blessings.A lovely book! Read it and be blessed.

My wife loves this book, so I gave it 5 stars. However, I got 4 others she hasn't read yet, so I guess she may like another more, and I won't have more than 5 stars to give a better one.My wife initially only wanted the book by a doctor, but I got her five, hoping she would love at least one. Now I found 5-10 similar books, and that surprises me there are so many. Angels and heaven are becoming more popular. Is it a good sign that people are becoming more spiritual, and thus perhaps better people? Or is it a sign of Nostradamus being confirmed?My wife describes the book as inspiring, and that she has had guardian angel experiences herself.

As I mature, the existance of angels in my life and my awarenes of their impact on my life, has renewed my interest in them. This book relates stories of others who also have been impacted by them also and how it affected their lives. It is interesting to find out how active angels are and the various ways they make their existance known. In The Arms OF Angels does exactly that!

In other words, all of us have a Loving Heavenly Father who is always waiting with open arms for those of us willing to turn to Him and ask for help when we need it. Also, His messengers are always willing to do His bidding to help us and guard us. We just have to ask and believe, or respond if He chooses to give us the opportunity to be His agents in helping others. This book was a blessing to me and reaffirms this belief that we are not alone ...We are Loved. He is only a prayer away. Thank you, Abba!!!

I bought this book for my mom almost 8 years ago. In her advanced years, she preferred to read short stories and loved to read about angels. I know that she lent this book to others in her assisted living facility as well. When she passed away recently, the book came back to me and I read it for the first time (along with some others by Joan Wester Anderson that I gave her over the years). I now understand the appeal. They are all very uplifting. Wonderful books!

This book really is one of the best I have read in a very long time . Would highly recommend. I didn't want it to end

This is best dipped into and enjoyed in small doses. The stories are intriguing and in each case compelling. I realised after about the fifth chapter I'd had enough - in fact, I'd overdosed, so have put it aside to dip into again sometime soon. It's not possible to deny the experiences - they are real and do serve to remind us that there is more to life than what we can see, hear and feel - what a relief that is.

If you did not believe in Angels this book will change your mind!

This is a truly beautiful and comforting book that I would recommend to all.
