For anyone who wants to think a little more about the possibilities pertaining to equine diet this is a good start. From here you can go to Dr. Getty's website and connect there for advice, sign up for her monthly talk, or you can go deeper with her detailed and highly rated master work on equine nutrition on Amazon books for $$. This is a readable little book and I don't feel like I wasted my money if I get one good idea and it exceeded that standard. Glad I bought it.

a great overview of the subject. Only giving a 4 because I wished it went in more details like amount to be given etc. Getty is highly knowledgeable and you just want more information! Maybe she might write an entire book on the subject one day. Definitely a little eBook to have!

I was really disappointed in this "brochure" for the price - it was not enough to call it a book. There are very few good ideas, but basically this author does not emphasize the importance of organic foods. Given how toxic food is these days due to desiccants, fungicides, herbicides etc.. I expected sources to be named were we can buy whole ORGANIC foods for our horses. What I found were sources to buy low grade low quality food in bulk - yuk!!! I found the information I needed in "Whole Foods for Horses".

I LOVE Dr. Getty! I took an equine nutrition course & her book " Feed Your Horse Like a Horse" was recommended reading. If she writes it, I buy it : ).

I finally found a book that made a lot of sense to me.

I learned more from this little book than I have in the last 5 years talking to other 'horse people' and professionals!
