Amazing 21st century story

A giant of a read
It was the most unusual book I have read for a long time. I found the historical aspect so interesting but it is such a massive read you need to keep it for a time when you can follow it through on daily basis.

You have to remind yourself constantly that this is a true story
The book is well written and paced. It's equally philosophical, hard hitting and exciting. I am full of awe that the author not only actually went through what he's lived, but also puts it all out there with no filter. I was moved to tears at his description of the 'Heart of India', the love that is so readily given and shared. It's hard to believe that one man could experience so much in so little time. What a biography.

This book by Gregory David Roberts is the best book I have ever read. 933 pages long, I was unable to put it down until I had finished it.It is based on an extraordinary true story of the author's experience living in the slums in Bombay and takes one on a journey that is both exciting and sad.
