The answer to dynamic desk scenarios - stand, sit, spin...
This stool answers every requirement I need for a dynamic workplace - my house. I work from home and have for years. I wanted to get more active around many meetings during my day, so I bought a treadmill for my standing desk. A standing desk lets you stand - or sit. With a treadmill in the way, my "normal" work chair is moot. Rather than moving an 80-lb treadmill all over the room to move in a chair in when I sit down, I got an exercise ball to place ON the treadmill for sitting. An exercise ball works ok, but there are certain problems: positioning it correctly for ergonomics, deflation, and the awkwardness of climbing onto it to be positioned right at the desk, as well the squeaky ungraceful dismount to get out. I searched for a seat like this active stool and came across this.Right away several problems are solved: easy height adjustment without needing a foot pump, it's light enough and thin enough to move back and forth for exact positioning, it allows for easy sitting when you want to sit. No problems getting on or off it. There is enough cushion to sit for a while (though improvements or additions in material quality are welcome on nearly any seat). Additionally, it raises up so even while standing at the desk, it can be used as a kind of standing chair that leans. I like that it doesn't lean at the base, but rather at the top so that the base is always stable on the treadmill. No potential rolling scenarios. And, one of my favorite features is that I can rotate 90-degrees (or spin 360) in any direction and easily dismount without having to flail over a ball or raise the desk to get away. This seat is perfect. Even without a formal chair, it's a great alternative for a standing / sitting desk to keep you moving when you want to. Highly recommended, entirely unsolicited.

Easy to assemble. Very comfortable and stable.
Base lays flat to fit beneath desk. Comfortable. Love the 360 degree swivel

Warning: do not place on carpet due to assembly lube leaking, and sharp edged clip on bottom.
The shock is not leaking, but the excess assembly lube dripped onto my new carpet. I am very unhappy with a giant gob of fish grease staining my carpet. Otherwise the chair is ok. The saddle shape is a little weird and does put pressure on the outside of your buttocks.Edit: After attempting to remove the grease, I realized the carpet is unraveled in the area directly beneath the chair. Apparently the metal clip on the bottom of the cartridge has sharp edges and rotates with the cushion. This clip is at floor level and when used on carpet it is pressed into the carpet. The clip started to wear a hole into my carpet, and rubbed the grease into the fibers. This is really terrible design.

Very comfortable and functional
As soon as I sat on this I knew I was going to like it. I've been using a folding chair for my "temporary" home office. during the pandemic. After four months I decided to invest in something more comfortable. The fact that this stool swivels and pivots makes it so functional. The seat is well padded. It was easy to put together and seems to be very stable (I was worried that there are no screws holding the parts together). Plus is comes in fun colors (I ordered orange). My only concern is I have trouble lowering it; I have to bounce up and down while sitting on it and holding the button. I weigh 100 lbs ... maybe it takes more weight to get it to lower?

Good for out of the way small alternative to standing
If I didn't have an adjustable desk, the stool would be too high or would be nice if it went higher so I could lean more than sit when I have the desk up. As it is, I have to sit - which is comfortable for about 10 minutes. It turns out, that works ok, because it does encourage me to stand more.Other than that, the stool is very sturdy and easy to assemble. It is small and tucks away when I want to stand.

Best Gas Releasing Chair!!!
I don’t CARE what my review says about me!I got this chair bc I needed a small chair for a small space. BUT I got something more! The way this chair is shaped and how it allows slight movements from side to side must be why IT RELEASES ALL THE GAS OUT OF MY BODY. I swear my waist is smaller!!!!If you know someone with gas issues (not meant for the elderly or someone with compromised balance) get them this chair! They will thank you for it!!!!Also does it’s job to hold you upright when you sit down on it. Just be careful not to hunch or your back will hate you.Ya welks!

best seat for kids who need to move!
We have a daughter on the spectrum who desperately needs to be able to move her body! We wanted a chair like this, but needed to find a deal - thank goodness for returns. This is an AWESOME chair. I cannot say enough about it. I am using this for a 50lb, nearly 7 yr old, but I sat on it as well and it is comfortable. It spins and it allows her to move her body the way she needs to in order to learn and process her world. It is great for her to sit on during school, and we may be looking for a second for the dinner table very soon. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Works well at tall desk
I purchased a standing desk and needed a "chair" that could move up and down as needed. I can't stand and work, so I needed something to at least lean on. This has worked well. I actually sit on it in both directions depending on what I'm doing. It's like a saddle. It stays in place. It's quite heavy. The fabric seems durable. I haven't been too uncomfortable yet. I only need to be careful when reaching for things in a lower cabinet as I could easily spill off the chair. That's a personal problem though! :)
