I was very impressed with the Luxun bamboo pen. The hand craft design with the gold accents around the pen makes it look very elegant. The nib of the pen is also gold but with an accent of silver at the very top, which adds to its elegancy. I like that the pen comes in a case also hand crafted from bamboo which not only adds to the overall quality but also keeps the pen safe from potential damage when not in use. The pen does not come with ink for safety reasons but you can order the ink through the seller. The pen also comes with instructions on how to put an ink cartridge or converter for first time users. I had left over ink cartridges from previous fountain pens that I was able to use. Inserting the cartridge in the pen was very easy. The previous fountain pens that I’ve had in the past caused several problems such as the ink not flowing smoothly, would get clogged, or it would leave blotches of ink on my paper. The nib of the other pens were also very sharp that it would often leave holes on my paper. The Luxun pen makes the ink flow easily making writing easy and sophisticated. The grip on the pen is also very comfortable. This pen also did not make holes on my paper as my previous fountain pens did due to the sharpness of the nib. I was also impressed with how fast I received the pen. I would definitely recommend this pen, you are getting a high quality pen for a very good price.

It comes well packaged inside a bamboo box, and the bamboo box is protected by styrofoam padding so that it can make it through the mail intact. I prefer a minimalist decor in my home, but this pen now has a permanent home on my desk as both a pen and a decor piece. Case: The case is very sturdy and well built. It doesn't click when it opens or closes, and the hinges aren't visible so it has a very sleek look. The wood is natural but still polished and smooth. It looks very nice on a desk as a decoration.Pen: It's a good weight and sturdily built. It feels and looks quite a bit more expensive than it is. It's smooth and comfortable to hold and to write with. It includes instructions on how to use it with an ink cartridge or ink from a pot. Note that the pen does not come with a cartridge or pot of ink, so you do have to buy one separately. I already had potted ink, so that's what I used and I didn't have to buy any. The instructions are easy to follow. It was a little bit tricky to get ink into the pen, but that may have been user error rather than unclear instructions. It writes smoothly, the ink can get a bit drippy at the beginning, but once you get used to it, it works beautifully!My only issue with it is really small- I feel like the gold metal accents aren't the right color for the wood. But that's an aesthetic issue, and in terms of functionality, this pen is perfect!
