Works perfectly
Bought for my daughter who is 6 and hated the feel of the violin under her chin so much I thought we were going to have to give up on lessons. We had tried several home-made solutions (including a fuzzy sock turned into a covering that was held on the violin using several elastics). This was simpler (even my daughter can put it on and take it off). It can stay on the violin all the time so it is easy to use. And, it works perfectly! Covers all the parts of the violin that my daughter complains about and she has been much happier to play.Maybe there is hope for us yet!Thank you for making this great product.*FYI- we bought 1 size up because my daughter has both a 1/4 and 1/2 sized violin and she is *almost* big enough for the 1/2 size. We put the larger cover on the small violin and it still works well. I did have to put a knot in the elastic so it would stay on tight enough but that was easy enough to do.

I am only giving this two starts because it lacked ...
I am only giving this two stars because it seriously lacked padding. I had to go buy foam to make this useable for my son, who is beginning violin and needs the comfort. It barely had any cushion but with the thicker foam I bought ,it is now what it should be. I thought this was overpriced for what it is.

Great for young students
This product is great for those who don't want to get the violinist hicky. It has some cushion pads in it that you can adjust. It fits snuggly and does not inhibit playing.

Good for young violin students
I bought these for sizes 3/4 and 4/4. I teach 3rd graders. They loved the comfort. However, the elastic on the right side (from the back view) is too long for the 3/4 size violin. I would recommend the 1/2 size Kinder Chinder for the 1/2 and 3/4 size violins. You can still put the violin in the case without having to remove the KC. I double twisted the elastic and hooked it over the button of the tail piece to make it fit on the 3/4 size.

Violin teacher approved! Worth every cent, can use with sponge or rest
I've had one of these (in this same color and everything ) for ~25 years. When was young I used it to hold my "sponge" in place and get a good grip on the instrument, and as I got older, it helps with& grip comfort along with a normal rest. It's time to finally replace mine after 2 and a half decades (10 years of that is teaching!) Big help.
