Kurt Adler 10-Light 5-Point Capiz Star Christmas Treetop, Ivory and Gold

I have looked for years and years for the perfect star. We were still using the angel I made in elementary school (a very long time ago) because I couldn't find anything that wasn't cheap and tacky-looking. This little star was just what I wanted! It's not big or flashy; it's elegant and simple. It's heavy for its size, so you have to take that into account when you put it on the tree so it will stay straight, but that was an easy fix. The back is not as decorative as the front, but that works fine for anyone whose tree isn't in the middle of the room.I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Although not well finished in back, it looks good from the front. Since our tree is in a corner , it does not matter..The lights are nice and bright.

Very cute/pretty star. It is bright, but not obnoxious with an off-white hue with dark gold trim. The cord is only about 2 1/2 feet long so I needed to add a extension. Note that this is NOT a 2-sided star(see pictures below). The back side of the star is a very thin plastic membrane (similar to that of a thin plastic cup with unsecured edges. It will have to be stored delicately as with most christmas decor, but otherwise a perfect SMALL sized well lit tree topper. It has a strong wire "funnel" for mounting on the top of your tree.

I love this Christmas tree topper! The 3-D double golden five pointed star has 10 clear incandescent mini lights, and it looks great from the front and sides, but it isn't designed for back viewing. Its base is a conical spiral spring that fit well on the folded over tip of my artificial tree. The star weighs only 3.67 oz (0.23 lb). Its cord is 56" long and ends with a stackable plug. More dimensions: outer star tip to tip width 6 3/4", inner star tip to tip width 4", total height including base 8", depth of front star piece 3/4", total depth 1 1/4".

The product picture looks great, and I am pleased with the purchase, however the workmanship is not excellent. When lit up, you can clearly see grey residue on the star. It seems there is no way to remove this, which is unfortunate. In general I have had bad luck with Kurt Adler star decorations (another model I purchased from Amazon, arrived broken). But I really want it to work, as it is very attractive and will look good atop the Christmas tree. I am hopeful that it will be too far away to notice the grey residue. Also the back of the star is not encased and is very ugly.

Super cute and great quality. Be sure to check the size because it is a little small.

Cheap junk. The front has visible screw heads (oooh... Philips head!), which is unbelievable. The coil to go over the top tree branch is way too short, so the star keeps tipping over. The back is open, with just a thin plastic film over the wiring, but not large enough to cover the wires to hide them. A major black mark for Amazon for selling such shoddy merchandise, and makes me question online shopping in general. This one is a bad one - and a slightly nicer one can be had at my local dollar store for $5 cheaper.

I absolutely love this little star! We've had our tree for three years, and every December, I would go to the store to look for the perfect tree topper. Unfortunately, I could never find one that I would look quite right.I wanted something simple and beautiful - with a warm glow. I took a chance with this star and am so glad I did. My tree is finally complete. :)Note: My tree is in the corner, so it doesn't matter to me that the back of the star is open.

Se ve muy bien en el árbol. Llegó en tiempo y forma. Solo es un poco pequeña para árboles muy grandes. Pero es un muy buen producto.

Esta padre pero por atrás no trae decoración y se ven los focos y el plástico solo sirve sinla vas a poner contra un muro

I love this Christmas star. I've had such a hard time finding one that isn't gaudy.
