Great quality, very sturdy, and folds up in seconds so that it can sit on my shelf when not in use. I like that it looks pretty handsome on my shelf too, so I don't have to hide it away. I honestly can't believe how low the price was considering the quality. Will recommend to other fellow knitters - way better than a metal / plastic umbrella swift and I like that I don't lose the parts constantly like I do with my amish swift!

Works great, a little stiff but thats good. No sharp edges nothing gets caught on it. The yarn catcher triangles at the bottom are rough but not snaggy. You have to compress it back smaller but it does stay together and won't open on its own.

Though the wood was smooth and nicely polished, the connecting screw was CROOKED. This caused the swift vertical piece to be crooked.Also, the manufacturer should use a smooth metal pin instead of a screw, enabling the swift to spin freely. When unwinding the yarn, this action would cause the unit to unscrew itself. The entire top piece holding the yarn would topple over. It was a HUGE MESS of tangled yarn.SAD!!! I really wanted this swift to work for my needs. If the manufacturer would improve their quality assurance / quality control and ensure the metal piece was installed straight; and change the screw to a pin, it would be a fabulous wooden swift.

Pretty and functional. This is a nice quality wood with sturdy construction. Spins smoothly and is easy to adjust for different sized skeins. It folds down and stores easily. It looks nice in the craft room. I added little rubber pads to the bottom base so it doesn’t slide. Highly recommended.After posting this review the price went down by $10. Amazon doesn’t honor price adjustments. I feel salty about being swindled.

This is nice sturdy good wood craftsmanship. With that said at first it was very difficult to get it to turn it didn’t have that real easy spin to it and I don’t know if this is gonna affect it in the long run I’m sure it will but I ended up putting some gear grease right where the red tip is pointing in the picture just so that it would spin around easier otherwise it was extremely difficult and was pulling the yarn way too hard. I would almost like to see a mechanism like in the wind or that just makes it real smooth and easy to spin instead of water on wood. With that said the craftsmanship is very nice it’s got a good sturdy weight to it.

I like this particular Yarn Swift because it is a stand alone that does not need to be clamped down. This feature allows me to easily move it from place to place and not worry about a surface to clamp it down to.

The rosewood is beautiful. I wanted a swift that I didn't have to clamp to the table, and this is just right. It shipped very quickly from India.

Used it twice and it broke. The screw snapped off the base. Would be perfect if it didn’t break.

Unfortunately item was defective so not able to give product review as to its ability to wind yarn. Supplier offered replacement at no cost to buyer, which was generous. We agreed to refund. Excellent customer service.

Eine wunderschöne Drechselarbeit, hervorragend verarbeitet. Sehr stabil und standfest. Gut laufende Schraubgewinde. Ich bin total begeistert

Hij draait niet. Het bovenste draaischroef houten knopje ging kapot ( knapte letterlijk doormidden toen er spanning op kwam), binnen 5 minuten. Weggegooid geld. Mooi om op je tafel te zetten, ziet er geinig uit. Zou hem echter niet gebruiken om je wol op te draaien.Hele geval de kliko ingekiepert.De nadelen: Er zit geen draaiknop op. Je moet zelf met de hand aan molen draaien. Dit duurt eeuwig. Hout op hout gaat absoluut niet zo soepel als zo'n metalen draaimolentje. Als er spanning op de wieken komt, knapt bovenste knopje.

Love this, it has saved me so much time. Just buy it you won't regret it. It's very easy to use and folds up so it doesn't take up much room when it's not being used. It's very good quality and I love it
