A Picture Book of Jackie Robinson (Picture Book Biography)

Our class visits the Great American Ballpark every spring for a field trip and takes a tour. They do an awesome job. I like to front load my students with the information that they will be receiving. This book was added to our collection and one little boy almost would not share it. He loved learning about Jackie Robinson. We also used it for their reports about famous people that changed the world and country. Guess who wrote about Jackie Robinson.

I bought this for my second grade class to use as part of their biography study of Jackie Robinson. It was a little too much for some of them. I liked the book. The pictures were helpful to those students who struggle to read. I would probably use this and other books from this series with my class again.

Great for teaching young children our history. I loved the pics. This is maybe for a child maybe about 4 and older. I just wanted to surround my 2 year old with the info even if he didn't get it yet. We have to teach our children our history because they won't learn it anywhere else and this is a good place to start.

Nice true story for children. Bought it for my 11 yr. Old grandson.

I love anything about Jackie Robinson. It's a straightforward biography for young readers that would complement a collection of JR/baseball books.

I love this book. I purchased it for my three year old son. The illustration is wonderful, which is what I love most about the book. My son also loves the book.

My six year old loved this book and really learned a lot from it including about Drafting, Pearl Harbor,, and Discrimination. On and baseball too!
