It really is the perfect towel.
*Two Year Update! I've now had my original tier for two years and it still has its colors, feels good and works just as well as the day I got it I bought VW Bus to travel in and got three more Nomadix towels for my guests/passangers. I really believe in spending a few extra $$ for a quality product and I'm happy I sprung for the NomadixI've been backpacking for 13 months and I got one of these back in January. I previously owned a Sea-to-summit microfiber towel which was the same price but was half the size, folded it took up the same amount of room. After 10 months of using it, it still feels pretty new. I use it almost everyday

Good combination yoga mat/towel for travel
An interesting product - essentially a double-sided towel that is in the shape of a yoga mat. I've used it for yoga, and it works but doesn't provide any meaningful cushion. I've also used it for drying off, and it does an OK job of that, but isn't as comfortable to use or as absorbent as a traditional terry cloth towel. So don't expect this to replace your yoga mat or your bath towel. What it has going for it is its shape, and its portability, since it is very light and can be rolled up and packed into a very small space for travel. So for me, this product is best used as a yoga mat that I can easily travel with (I took it mountain biking in Guatemala) and use to dry myself off if I work up a sweat or take a swim.

Best towel
I LOVE the Nomadix towels! They dry super fast and are so compact when folded. I got rid of all my old thick beach towels and replaced them with Nomadix. The palm tree print I bought as a gift. It's so pretty and looks like a vintage Hawaiin shirt.

I always know where my towel is
This towel is about the most massively useful thing a hitchhiker can have.Partly, it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound along under the cold moon; you can lie on it on brilliant marble-sanded beaches, inhaling the heady sea vapors; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly in the desert; use it to sail a mini-raft down slow heavy rivers; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of ravenous beasts; you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course, dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.More importantly, a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a non-hitchhiker discovers that a hitchhiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, washcloth, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the non-hitchhiker will then happily lend the hitchhiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitchhiker might accidentally have "lost." What the non-hitchhiker will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the world, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is is clearly a man to be reckoned with.
