Does it all at the lowest possible price and smallest size!
This is a very simple thing, a USB-3.1c adapter that can both charge your laptop and also provide USB connectivity to your (MacBook Pro in my Case) and has a wired network port and video port. The thing is, I realized, these three features make it a DOCKING STATION. At $40, that's a screaming bargain! Our (Lyft) Techstop ran out of Ethernet adapters, had only USB-C to 3 USB 3.0 adapters, and I got sick of plugging 3 cables into my MacBook Pro every time I came to the office. With this device, I can use only 1 plug when I arrive at my desk. I can plug in a 4K monitor (HDMI), Mac keyboard, charge a Mac mouse,, and charge the laptop with the USB-C input to the device. I (sadly) only do very low speed charging from of my phone (OnePlus 6T). I never found a device on Amazon that has HDMI + USB-C output, or Thunderbolt + USB-C output, so this is as good as it gets !! The nearest competitor to this item was $50+ and larger than this item!I save 1 minute for every meeting I attend with this device, unplugging & plugging in 3 cables 2x, or just 1 cable, 1x. I figure that in a week or two this pays for itself in time saved, at work. I liked it so much, I bought an equivalent device for my son!Overall, fantastic price, excellent aluminum anodized build quality, does everythning, the only downside is that it doesn't exactly match the space grey of my Mac, but I could not be more satisfied with the device, thanks !!!
