Mercer Culinary Renaissance 8-Inch Forged Bread Knife, Black

Really happy with this knife for the price, it's a great size and weight and feels more expensive than it is. Blade is great and has only needed honed so far. Definitely think it's the best bang for the buck knife for the money, I'd have it above the victorinox fibrox which is usually the default answer for a cheap but quality chefs knife.

Nothing to dislike about this knife. Sharp out of the box ( plastic, cardboard, package) stays sharp with a steel or strop now and again. Good rocking action on a board. Comfortable handle, should last a lifetime.

I had my previous utility / pairing knife stolen, so I ordered this one and it is great, it feels great and is way sharper than I expected. As a chef I was skeptical about the quality but it's worth every penny.

Got it for BBQ full packer brisket and it does the business but its great for everything else, particularly crusty breaks that it make light for of with lovely slices.You need a deep drawer.

The mercer culinary knives are just great, keep a great edge and just all round a good quality buy. Wish the 5 inch was a little better value relative to the larger knives, would buy a couple then.

Bought as an Xmas prezzie and I can’t believe it’s taken us this long to invest in decent knives. Cooking it so much quicker and easier and we only have 3 GOOD knives now, but that’s all we need! They sharpen well, wash well. Recommend
