Poor battery performance
This battery worked okay for a few weeks. Then it began to crash my laptop by shutting down abruptly when still around 30% charged. Normal operation is for the machine to display a warning when the battery falls to 10% and perform an orderly shutdown at 7%. This battery's abrupt shutdown risks damaging the hard drive and corrupting critical data (e.g. if it happened when applying an update it could render the laptop inoperable).
