Though this was not designed for my application, I was able to modify this cover to fit perfectly on the alternator of my 2005 Excursion 6.0 PSD.

It does what’s supposed to but low quality plastic.
This is the second time i buy this. The first one melted after a short. The plastic is low quality and it melted all over the connector.

Worked Perfectly
Worked perfectly to cover the terminal on my VW alternator. That wire connects directly to the battery so having it exposed was a shorting hazard.

Did not cover the stud easily
For this to work on the alternator stud on my 2008 Mazda 3, the end needed to be cut to get over the cable and the cover was very hard to get over the stud. It did work but was not easy. Since there really is not anything else out there, this was an acceptable solution.

Good quality
This worked out as expected I used this on a Alternator wire for a 1988 Jeep Wrangle YJ and it fit fine even with a thicker upgraded wire.

Nice boot for alternator stud
I bought this to replace a hardened and cracked boot that was on my 95 Mustang alternator. 3G alternator. I had to trim the inside of the smaller end and make it a tad bit larger and it fits well. Very pleased with the fit.

It worked
Hole for power was too small had to cut end off.Hole should be same size as wire. Other than that it did the job. Was ordered prime but took three days to arrive
