As it has been years since I have seen one of these kettles, let alone use one, I was very apprehensive.Unfortunately due to a new kitchen layout - nowhere for the steam from my electric kettle to dissipate, this was my only option and I spent hours looking at everything on the market, thinking for the money, I had made a good choice.However, despite the manufacturer's claims, the Satin finish on my 10 day old kettle is now a horrible brown that I cannot remove with any of my cleaning products. The handle, unless kettle placed on the smallest gas ring gets so hot, the first time I used it, I burnt my hand. Even the whistle is a tiny peep that really grates. A total disaster as far as I am concerned, so please don't buy only to be disappointed.

I was really sceptical about how well this kettle would work on an induction hob but its fantastic and we haven't looked back! This kettle boils much quicker than our old plug in kettle.
