Really could feel the performance difference.
I thought it a wee bit presumptuous to call something a racing timing belt but we could feel the performance difference. It has a more substantial feel to it than a traditional timing belt. (The water pump stopped the leakage we had going on.) I think it was worth the extra money.

Fully recommend this kit for anyone with a 1.8 NA, it’s very worth it than any other kit I’ve seen out there, and for where I live it’s better price than any auto parts store where I live

PERFECT KIT!!!
This kit was absolutely perfect for my 1999 Miata. Everything was correct and high quality. Several hundred miles later and no issues what so ever.

Warning Before Purchase, Defective Water Pump
The lower and upper water pump side inlet bolts were not threaded properly. One bolt ended up shearing off halfway inside of the improperly threaded housing. I ended up purchasing a Duralst pump from AutoZone in which all the water pump bolts were torqued down with no problem. At current standing the rest of the kit has worked well, with no other major issues but, the water pump caused an additional $60 and a very frustrating evening. 3

Great item
Everything is correct. Except for one of the cam seals. This one's for a 2001 Mazda Miata 1.8 SE model. The right size seal is 2 3/8 of an inch big. If possible can you send me the correct seal. So I can complete the job. Thanks please advise. I tried going through Amazon but it wants me to return the items. I cannot water pump is installed all correct. Thanks

Complete T-Belt kit except no Valve cover gasket,
This is a quality Timing belt kit with most of the parts you need to change your timing belt, its missing the valve cover gasket so order one if you buy this kit. I learned the hard way this Gates T belt kit is priced a lot less at other sellers.

The kit is perfect for the necessary tune-up and comes with good quality parts. Only thing I didn’t like was the fact that they sent two front main seals and one camshaft seal instead of the required two cam seals and one crank main seal which meant I had to purchase another cam seal to finish up the job. I suggest before starting the job to double check the part numbers and make sure you have the necessary parts
