Great quality short cables but pretty stiff.
I needed a set of short audio cables to install a Bluetooth receiver to my stereo receiver. I wanted good quality cables. These cables fit the bill. But, because they are very heavy duty, top quality, and short, they are pretty stiff. If you are installing something lightweight, like I was, they can be a little but if a challenge to keep your device where you want it to set.

Best Quality RCA for the Money
Do not hesitate to buy these. I'm an audiophile and I have high quality speakers at home and these are the best RCA cables for the money. High quality connectors and thick cable. Been using them for years.

More than what I was expecting
These RCA cables are just perfect! Very strong built. Will test them to the max

Worked in a somewhat confined space.
I used this to connect an automotive radio to an amp. The space in the dash was restricted, and these worked out well. The ends seemed to be not as tight a slide-fit as I wanted, but a quick turn of tape around each connection secured them in place. These cables are very stiff and very thick. One needs to pay attention to routing, a smooth curve or coil is the only way to go. These cables will fight you if they don't want to turn the way you want them to. The sound is fine - this radio is in a high-noise environment (the cab of a Class 8 truck). They work, and the price is right.

They Work Exactly As Intended
First off, RCA cables are analog, yes. Secondly they have been around since 1956! The reviews you are reading are only subjective and based on that particular persons idea of what it should sound like. This is my 6th purchase of these Monoprice RCA cables, and while the price is no doubt very attractive...they work exactly as intended. They are not too tight, just twist and give a little push and that's it. You can remove them the same way. In all my 40 years of listening to high end audio gear I can be honest with you. My Dad had a Harman Kardon Receiver for what I feel was decades. I wish I knew where it went when he passed away. You see, here is the point. RCA cables need to do a couple of things only. As a pair, they need to transmit audio in unison and steer clear of feedback noise. Thats it. Its quite simple. I have used Audioquest cables and still do, but not RCA. I do use their HDMI cables and I like them a lot. Thing is, there's a heck of a lot more going on in a HDMI 2.1 cable! Its providing up to 8K video and Digital sound up to 768 kb. The quality of the picture and depth of the sound is remarkable in that use. However, RCA is, again, is just an analog, shielded cable transmitting audio only. Right and Left channel only. They are somewhat stiff yes, but that is due to their excellent shielding. They loosen up in that department as do the terminals (connectors). Monoprice does many things right and a few things wrong. They are not perfect, nobody is. When it come to audio cables, these are a steal at this price. Do not be put off from others opinions and situations. Ive tried them all and in the end, Monoprice win's. Recently I saw an interview from The Audiophiliac Steve Guttenberg. He's an old timer like me. He also writes articles, books and reports for many companies, including Sound & Vision magazine and CNET. In this video review I watched he asks his friend, a guy who created High End Audio retail stores including Tower Records. He states clearly when asked from Steve in reference to RCA cables and their function. He looked straight in to the camera, nothing to lose or gain now, and of course repeated what I have said in this review. In addition, he noted, again, without any thing to lose...retail businesses and now online have been making and continue to make a bulk of their profit from extra's, or add ons. Not so much the high end Marantz or Paradigm speakers (as examples). The extra add on's are, you guessed right, cables. Where as an audio component might have a 5% to 20% profit margin depending, cables are much higher! The markup in cables can be 90% or more! Please do yourself a favor...try them for yourself and change your thinking to that the Monoprice RCA cables were say, $380, as opposed to $3.20 for a 1.5ft cable. Close your eyes and just listen. Listen for pops, cracks or hiss and any type of noise not in the recording. Some artists intentionally use analog record sound in the backround as opposed to pure, clear digital. Then do the same thing with say, Adioquest RCA cables (not contradicting myself, remember, RCA cables specifically). Sit back and A, then B them for yourself. Don't use optical cable, which just transmit light. In that regard either the light is on or off transmitting 1's and 0's. There is no noise or interference because the signal is the speed of light, literally. But a good run in, burn in or whatever you choose to call it, does ease up components and analog cables. Headphones are a great example of this. Just give yourself a chance to try these Monoprice $3 cables. Forget about the price and close your eyes and listen for yourself. They are identical in every respect EXCEPT for interference. That can be removed easily however. The transition is great, the sound is the same as that of $1000 cable. You will need some proper audio gear to do this! One small exception that I would not recommend is to use the throw away cables provided by the manufacture. The one's that come with your amazing new CD Transport. Ditch those. They free and not shielded and useless. So for a mere $3.20 you can replace them, depending on length only. I do not work for Monoprice or Amazon. This review is genuine and solely written by me, and avid audio video enthusiast that has an ear for different sounds most cannot hear. It is a gift. I was born this way. I always have heard more, the breath of an artists inhale or pluck of guitar strings. Its endless really. But this review is not endless and I will end right here. If you have read this review in its entirety you are interested in an honest opinion. Thank you for that. Enjoy your music and video as the type provided gets better and better with time as advances are made rapidly. Do not ask me about my Tube Amp, that is for another review! RCA cables are over 50 years old. Thats a fact. The Monoprice do quite well and will provide you with years and years of enjoyment.

Good solid sounding audio cable
For the price this cable is as good as the MC cable. The wiring is shielded and my home audio system did not suffer from static or hissing noise. I agree with other reviewers that this cable wiring is stiff and the plated connector jacks are tight fitting, they my bind into the devise input plugs. My trick is to pry out the fins a little bit to reduce the grip and of course, always handle the cable with care. Other than this little mod, the cables are good value. I bought two to set up my stereo to equalizer and sound production is as expected.

Very tight fit
The connectors have a larger than usual diameter.Measure the spacing of your input jacks. You will need an absolute minimum of 1/2” center to center of your inputs. Anything less will not allow enough space to plug these in. 9/16” would be safer.

As Described
Bought this to link a new DAC to a headphone power anplifier in SE mode. There is a noticieable improvement in sound quality compared with the rather basic RCA cable I was using, which is the main reason for this purcchase. Local high-end audio shops wanted thrice as much. The cables they showed me were of very good quality and guess what, they were all on the stiff side. Yup, all the high-end shops I visited while travelling in and around the NYC area carry stiff cables including very fancy esoteric ones. The reason? Improved shielding from cell tower signals as well as EM from handtsets.I am a retired military engineer so I could'nt resist, I just love stuff like that. measured my mobile phone's EM output and found the level was alarmingly intrusive even with the phone idle in standby mode, it even emits tiny to moderate EM even when turned off. Removing the CMOS battery drastically improved things but the phone still produced enough EM levels to affect audio output signals if they were close enough, like in the same house. Thats probably due to chipset batteries which are soldered in place and can't be removed. There is no potent shielding material I know of at a reasonable cost so I knew in adavance the cable would be stiff and made room on my desk accordingly. So much for still cables being necessarily cheap, in fact you will find very few stiff cables in the entry-level category while stiff ones appear in the upper-tier mid-fi as well as audiophile-level cables. it's not really a cost issue yet. You could tell just by handling those Monoprice cables that they were designed as a high quality item destined to be used as interconnects for the desktop audiophile enthusiast's electronics stack and thus would require serious shielding, the kind that can't be made supple without using esoteric materals with names like toktraktus-coated patrofritus-injected Siberian Jensonite that you will eventually discover is just good quality OFC dressed up to look exotic. Aluminum-titanium alloys interwined with OFC is peobably just as conductive and is less affected by EMI and miconics even though they don't feature boa-boa cork laced sleeves. These are expensive to purchase, out of reach even for determined audiophiles who aren't well-off and can afford stuff that, I believe, is sometimes just borderline snake oil made to look great but don't really sound better than less intimidating materials of good quality materials chosen for their intended purpose. Perhaps some of negative reviews come from people who had failed to notice that it is clearly intended for COMPUTER USE, not general audio. Desktops in particular emit EM signals whose strength is so effin' high that cables shielded like they used to be (and many still are) easily pick the audio crap up and feed you sh....t sound quality. I was olease by the stiffness, a sign of heavy-handed shielding designed to withstand a desktop's PSU's constant EM bombardment, I had been curious to see if Aamazon had something similar and it took a while but I stumbled upon these from Monoprice. Ordered them yesterday and got them this morning. The look and feeel is the same as those I saw in audio shops, which imho could very welll have been made by the same manufacturer then rebranded with a fancy name and adorned with a $75 or $100 price tagThe Monoprice cables are very well made and the materials used have a premium feel to them. That being said if you already have decent shielded cables you probably wouldn't hear much of a difference. If I were to categorize them I would call them entry-level audiophile I guess, which means that for less than 25 bucks it's quite a bargain despite connector issues. I has one too loose that it require crimping and one so tight I had a hard time pushing in but at least now I know I have a secured connection.

no los muevas mucho
la calidad es perfecta pero las entradas se van a dañar si estas moviendo los cables a cada rato, dales espacio para no doblarlos tan cerca de las salidas
