They were not flat so paint was going all over and didn’t leave a dinosaur

Not easy to use for 4-5 year olds - too thin
They are very thin and therefore not that easy to use for young clumsy hands. If they were thicker (or just sturdier) then they would be fine. Given the simplicity of the designs I thought they are aimed at younger kids but the plastic is as thin and soft as a sheet of paper.
