Justin GrayAll Star Western: the New 52! 5: Man out of Time

As a longtime fan of the western bounty hunter Jonah Hex I recently purchased this graphic novel (All Star Western #52 Jonah Hex Volume #5 Man out of time by Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti Moritat and Mike Atiyeh) from Amazon.This volume is in my opinion one of the strangest Jonah Hex stories. He wakes up in a mental institution in the present time and does not know how he got there or how to get back to his own time. He is still dressed in same confederate coat and clothes and people think he is insane when he begins to tell them he is from the past. He winds up killing some bad guy in a self-defense situation and also saves some lives but the crooked judge wants to charge Jonah with murder.I never give away too much information when reviewing any novel because it is not fair to anyone who wants to read this book; however, like all the Jonah Hex stories this one is filled with strange twists and turns as well as plenty of action. There are also some other action heroes who make an appearance in this graphic novel.If you are a fan of the Jonah Hex westerns you may want to check out this graphic novel.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Very enjoyed this collection

As is expected of the placing of 1870's bounty hunter Jonah Hex into the 2010's the story and art are great, however, the actual encoding of the comic is somewhat botched. On my Kindle I was unable to zoom in to enlarge panels or pages, this leads to some problems with some of the double splash pages. They've been scaled to fit into a single page and are thus rendered unreadable. If Amazon gets around to fixing that it would go from 4 to 5 stars.

People hated the ending. people hated the fact he's in CURRENT TIME.Get over yourselves, nerds.This book has some GREAT writing, and great art. While I prefer the original artist from the first few volumes, the new one is just fine.PICK THIS UP YOU WON'T REGRET IT! (I suggest starting at volume one though)

One of the very best Jonah Hex storyline yet. Unbelievable the characters appearing as guests. I really enjoyed and looking to read the conclusion (Vol 6)

I have read dozens of graphic novels purchased from Amazon and elsewhere. I have never reviewed one.However, I had to say something about this book… Awesome. Definitely the best of the series so far. If you have not been reading it, you're missing out.

Very OK... somehow the artwork of the New 52 series just doesn't impress me...I prefer the art in the older comics... found in the Showcase series... of course this one is for fans of Jonah Hex only.

I wasn't as big a fan of this storyline as others in the series but i bought it to complete my collection.The art and story are good but I look forward to reading Hex back in the old west where he belongs.

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my dad I'm sure he will love it
