Q: Will these stretch out the heel of a boot, as it's a bit tight?

I wouldn't think so as the metal mechanism would restrict you putting the stretcher inside your boot. Try damp (not wet) newspaper inside your boot to stretch the heel.

Hi, they really work. Wind, anticlockwise, bent handle right in. Screw,anticlockwise, ridged wheel, right in. Push stretchers into shoes, easing back brace down so as not to damage shoe, Wind wheel until tight, wind bent handle until solid; leave shoes over night. Small wedges are for deformities in shoes, I doubt you will need them. Hope my instructions are understandable.
