The In The Hoop kit consists of a 40-page spiral bound, full-color book filled with embroidery tips, techniques and recommendations for successful embroidery. It also comes with 3 zero point centering rulers that are translucent and flexible for measuring items that are hooped. All of these products work very well with all home embroidery machines. The Angle Finder finds the angle of any design and then the embroiderer tells the machine how many degrees to rotate. If your machine only rotates in 45 degree increments, you would be limited. But, you can always use the information that the Angle Finder provides for you (the number of degrees) to rotate a design in software then send it to your machine. This feature helps reduce the number of times you would have to rehoop just to accommodate an angle change.

Waste of money.
The book has 6 chapters. They are "Ensuring Perfect Embroidery", "Embroiderer's Tools", "Basic Guidelines", "Stabilizers", "Needles", and "Helpful Tips". There are multiple advertisements, and a lot of the information isn't very complete. I was hoping for help on when to figure out when to float your fabric instead of fulling hooping it, or help with hooping. None of that is covered. Also the content for each chapter is maybe 2 pages with large pictures. The 40 pages includes the covers and full page pictures to start each chapter, table of contents, etc, so it is maybe 20 pages of content with big pictures. The "Helpful Tips" section is all about downloading files from the internet and unzipping them. The tools are nice, I really wanted the angle finder, but I wish I had purchased Eileen's other book that includes it. Waste of money, the information covered can be found free from the Sewing with Nancy or Eileen's website. I wish I could return it. Anyone want to buy a used one?

I find myself reaching for the angle finder quite often these days rather than worrying about being off a degree or three

Not worth the money.
I saw an episode of Sewing With Nancy where this was demonstrated and thought it would be a nice thing to have. It's cheaply made, and definitely not worth the money. I'm sorry I bought it.

Great tools the book explains clearly how to use the tools.
These are the best tools for getting my embroidery in the right place and at the correct angle.

A must-have for perfectly aligned embroidery!
I love this product. The angle finder is perfect for precisely aligning designs. I like that the small rulers that come with the kit are thin and flexible so they work easily with even small hoops. The angle finder does take a bit a learning (as in you have to read the instructions) but it works great. I personally think it is a must-have for any embroiderer who wants perfectly aligned embroidery. It works with all my machines that can rotate in 1 degree increments, including my 12-needle SWF. (My oldest ones can't do that.) I've been embroidering since 1994 and I just wish I had invented this.
