Quality, Stylish Bag for College Students
Unlike some of the other reviews have said, I haven't had any problems with this bag. It is great quality and has lasted me several semesters of college being loaded up with textbooks and my Microsoft Surface Pro 3. I love the variety of pockets and the material on the inside is soft and protective. I do agree that the bag isn't the largest out there, so don't expect to put an entire day's worth of textbooks in it, but if you only have a couple of books & a notebook or folder or two, you will be satisfied with this bag. It looks great, feels great, and it has given me no indication that it won't hold up to normal wear and tear. I will note that I don't use this as my primary bag, but I switch it out with my backpack when I'm looking to change things up or if I don't have a lot of things to bring with me to campus. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely buy it again.

I really wanted to like this bag
I have a new version of this bag that I have been using for a week or so now, and I like it a lot. It easily fits my laptop, pads, writing utensils, and a book or two (if needed). I start to feel like it's heavy before I run out of room.I was very impressed with Snugg for reaching out to me with a replacement bag after I posted a review about issues that I had with my first Snugg bag (the metal on the strap connector started to come apart in the first two months). I've been very happy to switch back from my less stylish backpack.

Bad Shoulder Strap - Do not Trust!
A very nice looking bag, but two days after using it, with a typical laptop load, the metal parts of the shoulder strap snapped apart, un-fixable and sent computer and bag crashing to the sidewalk. Major design flaw. UPDATE! Now maybe 6 weeks in, the zipper on the front pocket (which only holds pens) is failing. DO NOT BUY!!UPDATE: I called Snugg customer service and they were very courteous. They sent me a new bag that they said they had tested. Trying it out now...

Two separate bags broke in the exact same way, and TheSnugg provided horrendous customer service.
UPDATE 4/22/2016 - upgrade from 1 star to 3 stars-----------------------------I was contacted by TheSnugg directly after having the two initial bags that I received break in the exact same way, detailed in my original review below. This 3rd bag is performing pretty well; it hasn't broken, which is obviously great! After using it for several months, there are only a couple of knicks in the bag, but nothing out of the ordinary; these are very small, on the order of millimeters.I've also heard from TheSnugg since that they are testing out some changes to the bag, including reinforcing the strap with stitching, so that's a huge plus as well.Original review:-----------------------------I ordered this in mid-August. Upon first receiving it, I was thrilled - stylish (in my mind) and had the compartments that I wanted. It had enough space for my needs - laptop, charger, Kindle, a magazine, and a book all fit fine, along with other normal accessories.I used this for a week, and it performed fine and as expected. Unfortunately, there is a HUGE design flaw in the bag - the stitching that connects the strap "clip" to the bag is extremely weak, and breaks with barely any extra force being applied to it. In my case, when I squatted down, the bag got stuck behind my butt, some extra force was applied to that point (not a lot mind you) and SNAP, off it came.To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous. I initially contacted TheSnugg (NOT Amazon) Aug 25th to send me a replacement, and they said that because of the value of the product, they needed me to send the bag to them first; I asked them to send me a label, and after reminding them several times for this, I never received a label for over a month. So I finally contacted Amazon and got a replacement within 2 days. Then the replacement broke in the exact same manner - after 2 days this time. Seriously, same situation (squatting down slightly), and broke in the exact same place.I would imagine even if I avoided this situation (squatting to pick something up), this strap would have broken at some other point - getting caught on a door knob, handle, throwing it in the car, etc.

Had a 15" MacBook Pro, its charger and a few paper folders in it when the shoulder strip broke loose and the bag hit the ground with its corner. Had it for a month only, no excessive usage was applied nor carried excessively heavy things in it. Carried the bag about 100 feet each week day in and out of my car as I drive to work. The repairs are estimated to be $438 to fix the case of my MacBook. Contacted The Snugg several times and it has refused to cover up the repairs. All in all you should think before you buy The Snugg products.
