I have got many of these. Writing is a 3 out of 5 quality. Five to me is the "Rite In The Rain" pen. As I used these for years in and out of the military. The SMOOTHERPRO Stainless Steel Tactical Pen with Whistle are heavy (I love that). Has a solid whistle, nice and loud with little effort. Has perfect amount of threads with rubber o-ring that transforms to a secure pen or glass breaker. You NEVER KNOW when.... . I give these out as presents. I also teach my kids to keep this on them at all times. It teaches accountability. Its another tool to keep them SAFE! Almost forgot only comes with one full ink cartridge. I assume the one with very little is a quality check, just buy new ones worth the money, lesson, and safety. just my opinion.

Very durable (stainless steel) and well designed (tactical) pen. The whistle is great and blows really loud! Unfortunately the pen refill is very small, but is a great pen.

Great that they have an extra backup pen refill which is nice, otherwise it’ll be 3 stars, because the one on the pen didn't last long.

Disappointed! Pen didn't write. Ink cartridge inside the pen was empty. Returned, the replacement one arrived with the same problem.The pens are small as mini. Ink cartridges are tiny. I guess this is the reason for ink cartridges to dry out.

I liked it and it works well the only bad thing is that the ink will only last about a day of use

It would be a five star but it appeared it had been used because the Ink was out in the pen

Runs out of ink too soon.
