Amazing what a new solenoid can do for an old(er) humidifier
The media could not be loaded. Prior to buying this solenoid I was just getting a trickle of water in my humidifier. I've had this Aprilaire 760 in my home for nearly 20 years. While I replaced the water panel every season I had no idea the inlet of the OEM solenoid had a miniature filter. Doh!When I finally picked it out it was destroyed. Also saw a lot of corrosion inside the solenoid. I took apart my old unit and soaked it in CLR for a few hours. Using a pin and a tiny screwdriver I cleaned it out the best I could. Hooking everything back up I still got just a trickle of water to flow through the solenoid.Bought this thing and magic. Look at the video. Amazing. I had forgotten that when the humidifier was working like new, you could actually hear the water flowing through the solenoid, like now. No more itchy skin 👍

Nice replacement but is a litter different than original
Comes with an extra filter but I thought you had to insert it into the inlet valve. My husband had to point out that there was one already in there and this is just an extra. Extra filter looks different than original plastic one.The wires are a little shorter than the original but we were able to connect it. May be more difficult fitting it into a tight space if you have larger hands.Running well. Seems to respond better than ever.

Stopped the buzzing.
Installing a new valve solved the problem we had with the old valve "buzzing". It sounded like an arc welder. Unfortunately, these valves do not seem to last more than 4-6 years. This is the third on I have installed in the last 13 years on my AprilAire humidifier.

Solenoid stuck on
I installed this in December 2019 and was initially very happy with this. By early spring when inspecting the heater i noticed the valve was stuck in the on position. Only way to force it off was to shut off the water valve supplying water, cycling the solenoid, then when turning on the water again it held back the water flow. When activating the solenoid again it would turn on but wouldn't shut off.Fast forward to Dec 2020, I activated the humidifier with the same solenoid installed and it worked through a few cycles. Will be inspecting frequently to ensure it cycles properly - but dissatisfied with the reliability of the product.I have a Trane furnace and humidifier, solenoid is supplied with hot water.Any HVAC experts out there, let me know if this is a common problem with all solenoids, welcome the fix and will adjust my review

lasted for 2 seasons (approx. 10 months of use), no longer functions.
Solenoid valve prior to this purchased, last quite some time (8+ seasons). IMOpinion, you get what you pay for perhaps. Being this Solenoid valve was quite a bit cheaper, perhaps that is the reason it needs to be replaced already.

Works as advertised
This was a field fit for a Honeywell humidifier - not designed to "drop in" as a replacement. Honeywell or other replacements were VERY expensive. Just matched voltage and flow rate specs with some "hammer and tong" effort to install.

Great swap for a Aprilair system
Install was easy and only took about 10 mins. It does come with an extra piece to lock the bolt on in case the old one got stuck on the unit you are replacing.

It Works
I replayed my old broken valve with this one and it worked perfectly. Easy to install and it saved me the cost of having a repairman come in to fix my humidifier.
