great shoe, fits like the original Helios - comfort, speed and sufficient support for marathon length trail runs.

I ordered the La Sportiva Helios SR after reading several highly complimentary reviews in running and outdoor mags that praised the model for being tough and especially light. Albeit, I have worn them only one day, the reviews are proving accurate. The SR provides excellent cushioning round the entire foot and,it is the lightest running shoe that I can recall ever owning: lighter in fact than my road runners. I purchased a UK size 12, which fits perfectly; whereas I have bought other, better known brands that have not been spot on. That said, I am not one for wearing thick socks; so those preferring to do so may want to order a half size larger. Delivery of the shoes bordered on the supernatural: ordered late Thursday, delivered across the Irish Sea to my door Saturday morn. Five stars!

Nice light running trail show. Fit is a little too snug though. I’m usually a UK 10 but I will move up to a 10.5 next time
