Holy Grail of camp stools -- GOAT!
Updated -- just bought another for a 200+ mile event.Updated -- used this during a 36-hour stretch crewing a 100-mile road race out of the back of a sub-compact(!). It's a year old now and has held up perfectly. Super-lightweight, sets up in a blink (literally), and retains stability on sand, gravel -- you name it. It kind of self-levels, actually. Best $25 I ever spent, period. Used it myself waiting for the runner to show up, parked him in it during fast breaks, perched him on it at a gas station so I could fix his blistered feet. It was a life-saver.PS He's about 5'10" and thought the height was fine, as do I, at 5'5".= = = = = = =Greatest Of All Time. Super-happy with this stool. Rock-solid, sturdy construction, yet very compact and lightweight and easy to carry with the strap over my shoulder.I spectate at lots of Ironman triathlons, marathons and ultramarathons and such -- LONG events that can run many hours. Many do not have anywhere for spectators to sit except on the curb or the ground. No bleachers, for example. I'd be fine with that, except that I have advanced arthritis in my hip and it is excruciating to stand for that many hours. Pain pours down into my entire leg if I can't get off my feet occasionally.THIS stool is the answer!!! It is even stable on sand. I'm 5'-5", 135#, and the 19" height is perfect. You can still see what's going on, and it's easy to sit down and stand up. I had to rule out most camp chairs because they're too low to see the action, and equally problematic, it's very hard for me to get up and down from a seating surface that's super-low to the ground, like a curb.

Great quality and light
This is a GREAT camping chair. Super light and compact, but very sturdy.

Great addition to Boundary Waters gear
Purchased a pair of these for my annual trip to the Boundary Waters, where we wanted something portable and lightweight to sit on in camp, especially for cooking, and especially for my dad, who has mentioned once or twice that getting up off the ground isn't as easy as it once was. Canoe seats and sleeping pad slings are great, but still require something to set them on. These lightweight little beauties did the trick nicely. The stools were easy to lash to our packs, and at only three pounds for the pair, not one of my guys complained about portaging the extra weight. They provided instant seating wherever needed, and added a fair measure of comfort to our campsites. We've only used them for a week in the woods so far, but they seem sturdy and well put-together. I hope we'll see years of service from them.

Well-made and stable stool... but I wish...
Annoyed... the picture showed (and explicitly pointed out) the "Automatic Handle for Disc Golf" on the chair. When I received the stool, there was no handle. Overall, the stool is great, the supplier/manufacturer is the problem. The stool is made of three light-weight aluminum legs with plastic feet. The poles are attached to each other in the middle with long, washered rivets. At the top, sturdy screws attach a firm rubber-backed nylon seat to the legs. An adjustable nylon strap is attached along the length of one leg, being useful as a handle or shoulder strap. Attached to this handle/shoulder strap is a Velcro loop used to keep the folded stool closed while carrying or storing. It appears well-made.I found sitting on it to be surprisingly comfortable. When in use, the stool seat is about 18 inches off the ground allowing my thighs to be perfectly horizontal (I'm 5 foot 11 inches tall). When on firm ground, I have no feeling of instability, or that I will topple over. I'd estimate that a difference of about 1 to 2 inches of ground height between any two legs will make that stability disappear. The carrying weight is very reasonable and (without an "Automatic Handle") the shoulder strap is, at least, tolerable. The major issues I have with this chair are (1) the lack of the fore-mentioned "Automatic Handle" and (2) the seat material. As a Disc Golfer, I find that being able to "hurry up and wait" is important during a tournament. To quickly and comfortable grip the seat when I'm ready to move has a distinct advantage, and the "Automatic Handle" would appear to make that much easier. I may have to add the option myself [slight grumble]. Changing the seat material to a strong mesh, I believe, would suit outdoor usage better. Disc Golf tournaments are generally played rain or shine, and a puddle of water in my seat is one distraction I'd rather not have. Any water landing on the seat would simple drip right through the mesh. With all that said, I feel comfortable giving the chair 4 stars. However, the supplier gets only 2 stars for dashing my hopes.

Not bad, but doesn't live up to boasts.
Not bad, but I'd likely not buy again. Advertised for a 250 Lb person, and can be carried by the strap over the shoulder. Not this 250 Lb guy; the strap is far too short to use for this. The seat seems fairly sturdy, but the seating area is quite small (think wedgie ;-) A longer strap, and maybe a few more inches of seat size would probably make the difference. Maybe I just need to be a 200 lb user.

Camp Time Roll-a-Stool is a fantastic product!
Being elderly with bad knees, I cannot stand for long periods of time. We took a trip to Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC where I knew there would be lots of standing. I searched and searched online for a stool of greater than 15" in height, study, lightweight, and easy to pack in my normal checked luggage. I finally found all those things in the Camp Time Roll-a-Stool. Many of the stools I found had bad reviews and mentioned tearing apart after a few uses. This product had four and five ratings. I definitely give it a five. It fit diagonally in my checked medium sized suitcase. It weights only 1.5 lbs. The strap allows you to easily put it over your head and swing it around to your back for carrying around. It is 19" high so very easy for me at 5'3" to sit down while waiting in line for the trolley or waiting for my husband to take a gazillion pictures without having to bend down so far (bad knees prevent this). I received many complements on it. I am so very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
