Earl Nightingale's The Strangest Secret Millennium 2000 Gold Record Recording Audio CD – December 23, 1999

I first heard this delivery when I was a kid in the 60's when my father managed a team of salesmen. The 33LP was played several times but of course I was too young to pay any attention. I purchased this CD recently and am amazed how much of an impact it had on me, not only to recollect my early years but also the powerful and dynamic message it contains. Now armed with advanced degrees in social sciences and versed somewhat in William James (quoted by Earl), I can attest to the validity of the message. What is as interesting is the fact that this recording DID mark the start of the the "self-improvement" bonanza that followed. "Gurus" such as Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy no doubt relied heavily on Mr. Nightingale's message. Listen to this over and over! Only negative is that I can't believe with our technology we couldn't filter some of the the scratchiness of the background....otherwise, enjoy!!!

Earl Nightingale was an avid reader and studied successful people with the aim of understanding what made them. Impressed by Dale Carnegie and his ideas Nightingale produced a record of his own ideas for his employees, which became exceptionally popular and selling over a million copies. The basis of his success and this booklet, produced by his wife after Earl's death, is that what one thinks, you become, based on faith. Still a powerful message today, as it was in the 1950's. No long windiness, this is a short and quick read.

This book is a simple read that reveals a real truth is simple and necessary. It should be given to young people from elementary school to let them know their God given power to be learned, practiced and executed daily. I chose this rating because this book spoke to me. I enjoyed the entire read. Will give it to my son. We will read together. Will recommend it for parents to read with their children and themselves.

Good brain candy. Short read. Great quotes that I like, not life altering. Nice pleasant read. I would recommend it to people who don't read well.

This book is more relevant than ever and it's such a short and powerful read that I would suggest you read it weekly. If you are just getting started in the your recognition of the need to improve or if you are a long-time veteran of self-improvement, like me, you will find great joy and wisdom in this great Kindle edition.

Concise, easy and exciting to read and re-read. Actually the attitude adjustment that CAN change your experience of life: if you want to find the treasure more than you want to be right about how hard and unfair life is. Had great information on the Strangest Secret. Just was as accurate as the actual audio recording. Still it was suitable for the price.

Although this was produced many years ago, the message stands true today and it gives inspiration to those willing to listen to and act on Mr. Nightingale's words. It is well worth the money. There are only two things I would change about this cd and both have to do with the fact that this was transferred from it's original vinyl recording to the CD format with minimal editing: 1. the cd itself has just 2 chapters so it makes it difficult to advance to different parts of the cd; I added this to my ipod library and that takes care of the problem. 2. there is some popping throughout the cd.
