Worked for my flag pole
I originally purchased the 5/16" rope, but it cam in too thick. I so tried the 1/4" and it replaced the original lanyard perfectly. With the cable in the middle, this rope is a little more difficult to knot and attach the snap hooks, but it ended up working pretty well. Only time will tell if this is any more durbale that the opriginal lanyard, but is does look much more heavy duty.

High quality,
Happy with the quality of this rope. Came quickly. I got the 1/4" for my 20' pole flying a 3x5 flag. It seems very strong with absolutely no stretch. A little difficult to tie the ends together because of the wire core. The 5/16 would have easily fit, but I think the 1/4" will be fine for a 3x5 flag.

Best flagpole rope ever
This rope is absolutely PERFECT for attaching Old Glory to a flag pole. I live in a very windy area of the Southwest and my original rope broke in less than a year. Unfortunately, I was not aware of where the rope was fraying, so I could not replace it before it broke. It took quite a bit of team effort for me and a fellow vet to re-rope the flag pole. This rope is HIGHLY recommended to all of you who love to see Old Glory swaying in the wind.

A bit stiff, but very durable
Durable, hasn't broken yet. I have a 30-foot flagpole, very heavy. If the rope breaks, it's very difficult to replace it. Only issue is that the rope is very stiff, hard to knot, but I'd rather that if it saves me from having to climb a flagpole.

Tough rope!
Finally! A lanyard rope that will probably last more than six months. You need wire cutters or a bolt cutter to cut this rope. The only slight drawback is that it is a bit stiffer than ordinary, non-wired, rope - so not as flexible - but works well as a flag lanyard.

Sturdy rope
Nice flag rope. You will need real cutters to get through the braided wire core. Once cut you can melt the end with a flame. I replaced an old rope that broke in heavy wind. This one won’t break.
