Ola Prima4 oz Lavender Essential Oil for Diffuser, Soap, Candle Making, and Aromatherapy

I LOVE this oil, but not for the usual reasons. I don't like the smell of mint, but I like what it can do. This review is about how well this product works to solve a huge problem I was having with wasps. It's a long story, so tl;dr - 20 drops of mint oil + 10 drops Dawn dishsoap + water mixed in a 32 oz spray bottle repels wasps really well! Also, there are a bunch of different types of wasps, and this works well for whatever type I have, so ymmv. Good luck!I am extremely afraid of wasps because my mom was allergic to them, and I'm afraid to find out if I am, too. They suddenly started getting into my house, and I couldn't figure out how. This terrorized me to where I couldn't relax or sleep, and it started right when the pandemic started, so even being at home didn't feel safe.Because I was hyper aware of them, I started learning things about them - for example, they like places with coverings, and they're territorial, so when they find a place they like, they're home. They don't like to be out in cooler weather (below about 55*F) or when it's cloudy/raining/windy, or when it starts to get dark. My back porch is perfect, because it's covered, and it has an additional part at the edge that hangs down for about 12", for additional protection from the elements. I started to notice that a lot of them were flying around the back porch ceiling, and started to build a nest - and I finally figured it out - some were burrowing in through the cracks around the door, getting into the house. I increased the weather stripping, but they still squeezed through!!I tried different bug sprays, sprayed down the back porch and ceiling with every kind of wasp killer I could find. I always did this at sunset when they went back to their nest and it was safe to be on the porch, and also knocked down the little bit of nest they had built up. But I swear, the wasp sprays just gave them super powers. The next day they'd be back at it, continuing to build that nest right in the middle of where I sprayed the night before, flying around the ceiling and getting in through the door. Now they're in my head!! I hear them everywhere, even when they're not there!! Because guess what - where other bug sprays will kill a bug that ventures into the residue, wasp sprays only work if you SPRAY THE WASPS.One day I thought.. what if I could repel them instead of trying to kill them? Just keep them away from the porch. duh!!! Terror had paralyzed my brain, I should have thought of this before! So I googled "repel wasps", and I read that wasps don't like mint. So I ordered this product (plus some plastic pipettes because it doesn't come with a dropper), added about 20 drops with about 10 drops of Dawn dishsoap, which dissolves the oil so it mixes with water (losing none of the mint odor) in a 32 oz spray bottle, and sprayed down the back porch after sunset.O M G!!! Magic!! At first I saw wasps fly under the porch, stick around for a bit (because they're territorial), then fly away. I kept checking the porch for several days, and I'd spray again in the area where I saw any of them land, but after about 10 days or so, the wasps just stayed away!! That was April 10. I'd pay attention once in a while, and no wasps were to be seen. Then I happened to notice in July that they were flying back under the porch and they'd stick around a little longer before flying away, so I sprayed the porch down again. Again, they stayed away. But oops, I got lulled into a false sense of security. Two wasps found their way in the house in late September! And I saw that they were flying around under the porch again. I forgot to pay attention! So I sprayed again, and they went away again. So this solution seems to work for ~2-3 months before the odor decreases enough for them to venture back, even in the heat. Now I have a reminder to spray the porch down every couple months from March to Oct. Hopefully this will continue to work to keep my house - and head - wasp free!The second best thing about this solution is it's not dangerous, it's just very diluted soapy mint oil, so no people or pets are harmed while using. But do be careful, mint can be an irritant in larger amounts.

For about half the year we have a very active bee population. We're thankful for the bees and haven't had any inadvertent stings given how much they are around. But we found that at our hummingbird feeders and at a fountain near our front door the bees would always be active and occasionally they'd almost swarm at those locations. We have been using thie Peppermint Essential Oil and spraying on the edge of the feeders and fountains and it's amazing how quickly they disperse and how long one treatment lasts. We've just been using for about a week and the original treatment continues to repel the bees from those locations. For our purposes, this product has been great.

A good price for what I've bought. Would recommend for this purpose.

First of all, I would like you to know that I purchased this not for internal use, even though it can be ingested internally if needed.I like the fact that it is a good quality product. I use it as a deterrent for rodents. I know that might sound crazy to some. I don’t like my garage. I put a couple drops on little pillow type things that had purchased earlier, which had peppermint in them. And I put the pillow at each corner of the garage doors.This needs to be done every month or two because the smell does off and then when that wears off the deterrent is no longer effective.

I love the scent of clove. I put it on a cotton ball & put it in my vacuum for the wonderful scent while vacuuming. My gift from me to me. The only way I use it so far.

I liked this Peppermint oil. The scent is strong &, when mixed with water & dish soap, lasts a good amount of time. I like peppermint, so spraying this scent is pleasant. Don't think it could offend anyone if the scent in the air is Peppermint.This was a good purchase.

I purchased this oil in February 2022, and it exuded a robust peppermint aroma, as the bottle proudly labeled it as Premium Quality Therapeutic EO Peppermint oil. However, upon acquiring a new bottle this week in September 2024, I noticed a stark difference. The scent was weaker and diluted, not living up to the original oil's potency. Upon scrutiny, I discovered that it was not only pure peppermint oil; instead, it contained corn mint and a chemical compound known as "Triethyl Citrate oils," conveniently placed over the ingredients and the shrink wrap is a label stating it is OP Peppermint whatever that means.Furthermore, I observed that the first bottle I purchased had a web address of www.OlaPrima.com which does not work today to ask questions, and it was distributed in Phoenix, Arizona, while the recent one was distributed in Wilmington, DE. Interestingly, the Amazon ordering site label on the bottle indicated it was distributed in New York, NY. Too bad I didn't discover this before I placed the new order.If you are in search of genuine essential oil, this product does not meet the criteria. I strongly advise against using it for aromatherapy, as it does not live up to the standards of authentic essential oils.

The Ola Prima Lavender Essential Oil is fantastic! It has a lovely, floral aroma that smells strong and travels well through my entire apartment with just a few drops in the diffuser. The scent is long-lasting, which makes it perfect for creating a relaxing atmosphere at home.I’ve also used it in DIY projects, like making moustache wax, and the results were amazing, especially when combined with orange essential oil. Overall, I’m really happy with this lavender oil—great value and quality!

It has a nice strong peppermint sent at first but it doesn't last long

A good remedy for moulds, beautiful smell

Product smells awesome but the seal is broken and leaked around 1/8 of the bottle. So wasteful and sad about it. Will order again, hopefully can bubble wrap the bottle to prevent breakage/leakage.
