Fruit: Edible, Inedible, Incredible This is a beautiful and fascinating book. The information on many types of fruit is indepth and extremely interesting. The aesthetic of the book is stunning. I would recommend this as a perfect gift to yourself or to any one who has a passion for nature and visual beauty. This is 1 of a series of 3. The other 2 are 'Pollen' and 'Seeds' the titles speak for themselves. They are equally fantastic.

This is a book for anyone interested in plants and their biology
Beautifully presented and full of detail for the non-specialist reader, this is the ideal book to be placed in public and school libraries to help add depth to television presentations and make the links between biology and ecology. For the home reader, it's great to browse or use as a source of ideas and reference, especially if you want to draw and paint or take pictures.

Incredible images, unreadable text
Beautiful pictures, fascinating information, but spoilt by hard to read coloured text on black backgrounds. The designer has not considered the comfort of the reader. Expect eyestrain as you try to read it. The glossary, bibliography and index are black text on white, but the font is the tiniest I've seen.A big disappointment, as the information is terrific, but who wants to read an unreadable book? They have made a coffee table picture book out of a what should have been a useful scientific reference work.

fruit edible incredible
This is a big book, much larger than I imagined. The reproduction of colours and textures will inspire my textile art work. The detail is so good that you have to keep looking and looking.
