Old English Sheepdog (Comprehensive Owner's Guide)

The chapter about the actual breed was short, and nothing more than you couldn't find by searching online. The rest of the book was basic dog care. I would LOVE to have a breed specific book that was just about the breed, not about basic information. Returned.

Well, the American Kennel Club has found a book that merits it's seal of approval. If all of their breed books are this good, they'll put everyone else out of business. It is that good. Details about the breed, pluses and minuses, basics of training and healthcare, tailored to the breed. Just great. I would recommend this series to anyone who is a first time dog owner, or who wants a comprehensive book about their breed. I've read a lot of breed books, training books and magazines, have dog breeders and trainers in the family, and this is the best breed book I've seen.

I got this when I brought home my OES/poodle mix and its been very helpful. I've been around dogs my whole life but have never felt the need to learn much about specific breeds until recently. ITs very informative without being overdone and doesn't feel preachy the way a lot of breed based books can be (in my opinion). I recommend it to someone with an interest in but lack of knowledge about OES.

This was a nice comprehensive book on Old English Sheepdogs. I love it for a reference when anything comes up with our year old OES!

Good book for understanding the breed. We have our third OES in 41 years and have always like their temperament.

Anyone that owns an O.E.S. can't be without one.

Out dated but lots of great information.

A good book, very interesting tips and comment about this dog, a lot of things that you should know about your dog. Good book presentation. Highly recommended.

This book I purchased because I am getting an Old English Sheepdog puppy and I wanted to read up on it. This book is fantastic, anything you ever wanted to know is in this book. Excellent.
