Fantastic book for inquisitive kids
This book and others in the series are fantastic. I have a BS in biology and found them to be accurate yet toned down perfectly to a kids level. My husband (who is not a biologist) even enjoyed it as well as my 6 year old.

Great learning tool - keeps children interested
My kids really enjoy looking through this book, my 7 y.o. reads it and follows the pictures as my 4 y.o. take in the pictures. Certain words on each page are also color-coded to match the color on the images, LOVE this for myself as I am such a visual learner! Great book, well done and thank you April!

Great first A&P book
Love the illustrations. Went over what I learned in anatomy and physiology but much simpler. It tends to focus on certain things, though, which seems random.

So much to learn in this "tiny" book
We love the 1st anatomy and physiology book by the same author and thus one is even better! We used other texts to study the human body but this one is the jackpot. other texts may have more tidbits of information but my kids (7 and 5 yo) can never get down to the basic idea of how the various body systems work. This books explains the basic in a clear and understandable manner. Coupled with the review questions, it really helps my kid retell the main ideas. Don't underestimate this "tiny" (in terms of number of pages) book. It taught my kids how the circulatory, respiratory, digestive, integumentary and immune systems work. I learned a lot as an adult. I am not a science person. I wish I had these books when I was a kid!

This would be a great addition to anyone's library no matter what your age ...
While our baby was in the NICU we spent plenty of time teaching our boys how to wash their hands to keep away the germs. I had a difficult time trying to explain the concept of germs to our boys and what kind of consequences they would have for their sister; I only wish I had this book sooner. The sword and shield simile was the exact lingo my boys needed in order to take and understand the complexities of the immune system. They were able to visually see fighters being released by the immune system in order to attack the germ invaders. The entire concept is genius. Things that took years in science class that you never fully understood is broken down so you are able to share this information with others. This would be a great addition to anyone's library no matter what your age is.

I love how it breaks things down in a way that ...
This book, along with the entire series is a must have in any household with children. The bright, colorful, simple to the point design pulls kids in wanting to learn more! I love how it breaks things down in a way that children of all ages can easily understand the human body systems. The book will not overwhelm younger kids with hard to understand wording or pictures that they cannot relate to nor will it bore kids that are a little older. Also, since leaving my career in the medial field to stay home with our kids, it was even a wonderful refresher for myself! Keep up the great work and the AMAZING customer service! We cannot wait to see what is in store next!

The Anatomy & Physiology books within the Super Smart Science Series are probably my favorites
The Anatomy & Physiology books within the Super Smart Science Series are probably my favorites. They are packed with information and are acting as the spine for a huge unit study that I am making for my home-educated children next year. April Chloe Terrazas has done an amazing job creating quality science resources that cover so many grade levels. My children are 6 years apart in age and it is very rare that they can use the same books at the same time for homeschooling lessons. Just as with the other books in this series; these have useful pronunciation guides, illustrations that are simple, but interesting, and interactivity. Be sure to buy Anatomy & Physiology Part 1, as well!

Oh I just lover Super Smart Science books
Oh I just lover Super Smart Science books. This one is no exception. I like how it's written, illustrations, introduction of appropriate vocabulary. By far these books are my favorite in the area of scientific books for pre-school and elementary school students. My only disappointment with this one that reproductive system is not covered. But in a way I guess I understand why author/publisher chose not to include that particular topic. I am sure they would've done a fine job explaining what it is and how it works. So, it's really 4.5 stars from me.
