I don't care for the smell. It's a funny smell. I can really smell it once the clothes have been washed.

Not as strong smell as the original but still works just fine would buy again

The smell is very blah

The smell is a candy like lavender. It is pleasant but strong. A little goes a long way. The bottle is huge and NOT child safe. The shape of the boosters is similar to the round ice-cream sprinkles we use so I made sure to stress to both kids they were not candy and they were not to touch it.The bottle of course says to keep it out of reach of children and pets. (It also recommends drinking water if accidentally ingested.)How does this booster compare to other brands?Vs. Downy Lavender Serenity Liquid Fabric Conditioner- Alike is actually better! While I liked how downy helped protect clothing I found the smell really unpleasant and much too strong.Vs. Snuggle Freshness Booster (original)- I loved the Snuggle booster. The scent was subtle and I didn’t worry about the kids thinking it was candy even though it also didn’t have a child safe cap. So even though this is more expensive than Alike and doesn’t condition fabric like Downy this is the one I will purchase in the future.Edit/update 12/31/18: Upon further use we have found the scent doesn't last as long as the downy liquid.

I've run loads of laundry with and without the scent boosters and while a capful does increase the scent of the laundry it's an odd lavender scent not like something out of nature but a created lavender scent. Almost like candy sweet. It isn't bad but it isn't a lot like real lavender. While it does boost the scent quite a bit (especially when you use a lot) it doesn't seem to stick around that much longer than laundry done without the beads. One place I have found a good use for them is wrapping a small pile in a dryer sheet, taping it closed and putting it in the drawer we store sheets in. Keeps the drawer and sheets smelling clean and crisp and they last a long time, I put them in a few weeks ago when I got the bottle and they still smell as strong as fresh ones. Not sure I'd buy these or any scent booster, I don't own a lot of clothes so everything gets washed on a regular basis. I just toss in a couple extra dryer sheets if I want more scent.
