Purple Majesty Certified Organic Seed Potato 5 lb. Bag - Heirloom - Great Taste!

I have been an organic grower for years. Purple potatoes have been one of my favorite to grow. The soil I use is treated with everything from a proper ph level to infusing it with bio brews and beneficial nematodes. Out of the 5 lbs that I planted I only pulled up 5 potatoes, no more than 2 to 3 inches in diameter, from only one plant. There were two that showed scab disease but were still edible. The soil showed no sign of grub worms. Unless I have experienced a new kind of disease that was introduce in the surrounding environment I am suspiecious that the potatoes were already defective. To play it safe I will not order from this company again.

It took more than a month for me to receive the order. Of all the seeds that I planted, only one tiny withering plant came up two month after sitting in the ground (and I have great topsoil). I have serious doubts that plant will have any potatoes. Last year I just bought regular purple potatoes from a supermarket, planted them, and had an awesome harvest. This year I paid $18 for this "majesty" and no results. Really disappointed.

Actually very purple! I was worried when I saw that other had received some that weren't purple n others had said that they weren't purple. My batch was completely purple and vibrant, I am going to try to start them inside and move them out later when the weather is a little better. I have yet to taste or anything yet but so far I am pleased!Mine came through usps and took forever to get here, but usps is always having trouble, amazon isn't responsible for its late delivery but for those who are ordering in california, it will take a couple weeks for them to arrive.Update: So far so good. A potato i cut n stuck face down into some water which i changed frequently (every day) threw some sprouts, the sprouts are also a awesome purple color too!

the potatoes come as described. I need to mention that the seller pictures are color enhanced. the potatoes are not so purple inside as in the pictures. the pictures that I attached are real color rendering.will plant soon.thanks you

Received the seed potatoes, pretty purple skin. Cut into pieces for planting and found that the flesh is white/yellow. No instructions or packing slip arrived with the order. A bit confused....

I planted these late in the season in Zone 5B. They are doing great, growing much better than the tubers I bought from the local seed store last year. Can't speak to the potatoes yet since it's not time to harvest. I will have to surround my plants with fencing and fill in with mulch as they continue to grow higher. Growing them in potato bags this year.

Potatoes were delivered to a mailbox where they stayed in the heat for a day. They were soft throughout and sprouting. Had to bin them all. Had another batch delivered in winter that froze, also binned. Seems the vagaries of shipping perishables are insurmountable. I had one batch delivered to the door and they were delicious. Can't risk another order :(
