Sleep Creations Aerus Natural TM Memory Foam Contour Pillow

In the past 8 years I have owned about 5 of these contour type pillows. This is the sixth. The first was a Select Comfort that I loved. It was lost in a move. The other 4 were various brands,3 pound density, the most common firmness available. With that softness I needed no less than 5 inches in height. If the firmness relaxes I get terrible headaches. Some of these lost their loft after a while, one shrank up to half its original size. They all had a smell at first that went away with a little airing out.This one claims 4 pounds density. When I first got it I squeezed it and was a little worried that it was going to be too soft. It was a perfect 5 inches on the high side. Most amazing, no smell. None. I tried it out and it turned out to be firmer than I was used to. Still has a little give but I did not sink into it quite as much. The lower side is the preferred side on this pillow, places me in perfect alignment. The height verses firmness equals alignment is the key to getting comfortable with this type of pillow. This one is superb for me, I am a side sleeper. This type of memory foam may turn out to be longer lasting. After a few weeks it does not seem to have relaxed any at all. It does not sleep hot for me. I will get another when they come back in stock.Update October 2013Finally back in stock, purchased 2 more. The first one remains perfect, has not relaxed, is not hot, no headaches, no complaints. I needed another to travel with. I will cut it shorter to fit luggage if I have to, but it looks like my duffel will contain it and my clothes. I got another just for a spare. It took too long to find this one and I really do not want to go without, ever. It even came back in stock at a better price than the first one. I am using a standard size microsuede pillow sham as an outer cover on this pillow. It fits well, is soft, stays put without crushing the pillow, and makes the contour pillow look more like a regular pillow when not in use. It is easy off for washing and saves wear and tear on the zippered cover that comes on the pillow.

I've got some pretty nasty upper back issues. I sit at a computer all day for work, and I go home and sit at a computer all night for gaming. Needless to say, sleep comfort is very important to me to try and resolve some of this. I'd been trying a variety of memory foam pillows, including a (rather expensive) Tempurpedic Cloud pillow, which is soft and fluffy but is too tall for my neck for whatever bizarre reason.This pillow fits my neck fairly well. It may not be the best fit for me because I roll in my sleep and it is incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on one's stomach with this pillow. But if I'm sleeping on my back or side, it's great. I don't usually wake up in discomfort. This is definitely worth the price, if you're comfortable with a contour pillow.

We have chemical sensitivities. That is the reason we bought this pillow. When it came it REEKED. Not just to us, less sensitive people also commented. there was a disclaimer saying that the smell was perfectly harmless, that it would lessen quickly. Well, we've had it for a few months and I still smell it. My husband, being less sensitive, uses this pillow and I use my old one. I generally do not react to things that are truly harmless. I reacted to this pillow. Can't trust it, much to my disappointment, I would have loved to have found a good memory foam pillow that was truly natural!

I had gotten one of these for my son who seemed to like it. So, when I finally realized my pillow needed replacement, I looked for this. One night the price was $23. By the next day when I decided to buy two of them so that I could use them in opposite directions for side- and back-sleeping, the price had gone up to $38. That was irritating, but I bought one anyway. At first the high side felt great under my neck for side-lying, but I ended up with a stiff neck that has lasted for about six weeks. I tried using it in all the different ways I could think of, but with no comfort and have given it away. I bought it for the density of the foam, but now realize that was too hard and high for my neck.

I have tried many pillows for neck support. This one is the best. It is firm, but still soft and it is not oversized. That means that regular pillow cases will fit over it. Excellent value for the money, and well worth trying.

Since I've always slept fairly well, I wasn't prepared for the dramatic improvement this pillow has made. Caring for critters sometimes interrupts my sleep, and though I'd usually drift off again, I wouldn't awaken with freshly interrupted dreams! Now when I wake, I'm aware of having slept deeply and remember vivid details of a dream.The pillow is firmer in comparison to contours I've purchased, but after slightly warming, the foam cradles my neck and bears the weight of my head comfortably. A rear-end crash years ago requires I use a contour pillow, and this pillow gives options for shorter and longer necks. The flat side of the pillow is also comfortable and may be slightly cooler for summertime.I've slept on Tempurpedic and haven't been impressed, so I'm delighted at the comfort and lower cost of the Aerus.The pillow cover is not the quality of others I've used, but it serves its purpose.

I have been having back troubles lately and I bought this pillow in hopes that it would help straighten me out. It has done wonders in just a few nights. I hit the chiropractor the day I got it and the next morning and every morning since I have felt great. It supports great alignment in my neck with the curve that it has in it. I can sleep on my back, side, even stomach and it supports me the whole night through. My wife says it is too stiff for her but it doesnt go flat and has taken some getting used to but now I love it.
