10yr old iRoomba did a better job + support don't reply
After reading the reviews I ordered the Q9, Clymens top of the range robot.Over 10 years ago I owned an iRoomba so was expecting things to have advanced a little by now, but this robot proved me completely wrong! The iRoomba not only did a better job, but was also more intelligent than the Clymen Q9. I have tried several times now to contact Clymen but never receive a reply, not even acknowledgement of receipt of my contact, even emailing them direct and from their own website. When it works, it does its job well, however...It constantly errors, often saying a wheel is stuck and needs cleaning (theres nothing visible to clean) when all you need to do is press clean again and off it goes.It struggles to find its base 7 times out of 10 (I come home after work and have to hunt it down)The error messages in the app simply say "error" with no explanation and the list is huge now.I found it simply spinning in circles a couple of days ago and watched it doing so for over 5 minutes (not exaggerated). It constantly gets stuck when it could, by retracing its steps, sort itself out.It USUALLY cleans well when it does clean, except that when you set it to clean the room edges, it doesn't do so to any decent standard.I haven't even listed everything, although these are the main issues....Also whilst writing this the Q9 WAS cleaning but after writing this I noticed it was silent, sure enough, it was sat in a room having stopped yet again with some unknown error...

Competent but too sensitive
Referred to as my Pet, for 24 hours the Clymen Q9 was put through its paces. It did well on hard floors, low pile rugs and carpets as well as medium pile carpet. I didn't try the mop. It's random cleaning would prove frustrating if watched so just ignore and do something else. However, it is totally incapable of handling light coloured (light oak / teak / white) furniture legs (bed, chairs) and low decorative gaps at bottom edges of eg chests. It continually got stuck. It is quiet enough to watch TV or do other things without being intrusive and its bumpers coped well with other objects (it didn't knock over tall, decorative vases). It definitely didn't fall down the stairs ! A good sized bin enabled easy cleaning and the remote control was simple. Whilst I loaded the App I didn't have it long enough to bother to use it.Regrettably, I've returned the item. I haven't yet researched an alternative and am not yet sure what my price pain barrier is !

Pleasently surprised
Tl;dr; vacuums pretty good, can get up pretty high carpets, is quiet, and can be synced with Amazon Alexa or google assistant, to allow me to operate it via my voice. There's a great YouTube video illustrating how to set the vacuum up and take full advantage of it, so I highly recommend you watch itI picked up one of these after hearing from a few friends of mines that they work a charm, and I must admit it exceeded my expectations. My biggest concern was that I have a lot of high rugs in my house, and I was worried it wouldn't be able to get up them, but it proved me wrong and was able to get up my rugs without a problem. It is relatively quiet, but does a pretty good job picking up larger dirt and debris. I normally just switch it on and let it do its thing, but sometimes it would stay in the same area for a bit of time before it can make its way out. I tended to prefer the corner mode, since that way I would be assured its done the areas which gather up the most dirt.It can automatically go back to its charging dock once finished, although a few times it would get a bit lost trying to find it. It also DOES NOT FALL DOWN STAIRS - so rest assured! The included remote control lets me move it manually if I want to send it to a particular area or manually take it to its charging dockI set mines up to work with the google assistant on my phone, so now whenever I say "okay google, vacuum" it starts it up automatically; pretty neatThe dust box is very easy to empty, and the filters and brush head are very easy to clean thanks to the included cleaning brush.

Waste of money
The media could not be loaded. I bought this robot with a lot of doubt and in fact, in the end, it was just a wasting of money.poor quality, I had the first from the end of June until the beginning of October, a time when it falls from the stairs and was useless as you can see from the attached video.Been in contact with clymen after nearly 20 emails and video and photos sent to them in order to have my clymen refunded under warranty, they have offered a free replacement where I had to pay for the shipment and Amazon Fee, so I have agreed to pay £35.The new clymen it's not able to connect itself with the wifi, the charge lasts less than the previous one I had before. The suction from the first bought was not bad but the second seems a bit better, trouble is you have to start that manually and it's very annoying when you spend a lot of money for something advertised as ultra clever!!Also, don't forget that it should recognize the stairs but that was not in my case. Now I have wasted nearly £200 for something useless!Don't waste your money on this product.
