Good Quality
I have never been disappointed by Garant products. I really appreciate the fact that there is no metal edge strip, as I think the blade slides more easily without one based on past experiences. Metal edge-strip snow pushers might theoretically last a little bit longer but, over the years, I have not seen really problematic edge wear (without the metal edge) when pushing snow six or eight times a year on wood decks and and on wide and long driveways --- at least not on blacktop driveways. Never had a rough concrete surface to "shovel," but I suspect a metal edge would make it even harder. Wife prefers a blade smaller than than 26-inch.When snow gets a bit too deep we usually resort to our excellent Garant Sleigh Shovels. We try to not let the snow pile up in big storms and and are frequently out pushing snow several times during our relatively few really big storms each year. I don't even use our gasoline driven monster snow blower anymore --- at least not in past several years.

Snow Slides Off Perfectly
It wobbles just a bit but really scoops well! Snow doesn't clump and stick to it, which is so much better than my other snow shovels. Also, it's light and well balanced, so shoveling 140ft of sidewalk, back deck, and driveway goes pretty fast for this 61 yo lady. Pleased!

Best snow shovel for pushing snow.
First, I live in Salt Lake City Utah, so my snow is generally light and powder. This is by far my favorite shovel. If you have 1 - 6 inches of snow you want to "push" off your driveway or sidewalk, this is the best shovel I have found. The shape works excellent for pushing snow in front of where you are going, yet not building up too quickly which would stop your progress. The lack of a metal lip means that this shovel slides easily over concrete, and works much better than shovels with a metal lip. Both the 26" and 21" work well, if you are somewhat athletic the 26" moves more snow, but my wife prefers the 21" model. I am waiting for the 32" model that I can use for 1-2" situations. While this shovel will "throw" snow that you pick up, it is best used as a "pusher", then lift the snow off the surface when you reach the end of the area you are clearing.I highly recommend this shovel.

For medium duty puching
I have used this shovel for over 8 years and I get them 4 at a time every year. They are meant for pushing light to medium snow easily off your pavement. Example: after snow blowing your drive, scrape it with this. Not for a storm with 35 degree heavy snow. I you do use it, it needs to be in smaller chunks so as not to warp and crack it. Any poly blade in single digit weather is going to be brittle. Be smart about the poly blades. They are light and easy to handle and throw snow - not like the heavy metal snow pushers. My only problem is the price here...... the exact same shovel is 24. at Ace hardware. Look it up!

Nice Shovel!
I purchased two of these shovels for use with my snowblower business as a means for myself and my guys to clear out anything that the machines may have missed, or just couldn't get at, ie. stairs, alcoves, tight spots, etc. For the last two seasons they have proven themselves to be good, durable, well made shovels that perform nicely under commercial conditions without fail. And, I just bought a third one to add to the truck to help out a little more! The longer handles make them comfortable for any of us to use regardless of physical stature, and will easily lift large amounts of wet snow without bending or breaking like the bargain shovels do. When used properly, the shovel's composite edges scrape right down to the surface without leaving damaging scrape marks like those manufactured with metal edges, and our customers surely appreciate that! All in all, absolutely a great shovel at a reasonable price that no one should be without, so buy yourself one or two!

snow pusher works great
Moves/pushes snow well. Easy to assemble. Very durable. Long handle is ergonomic and easy to push. Acts like a mini snow plow. Happy with it so far and it's January already.UPDATE: It's almost February 2010 and this shovel is still going strong. The long handle makes a big difference - it's long and easier on my back than shovels with so-called "ergonomic" bent handles. If snowfall is more than 2 or 3 inches or heavy/wet, I just take narrower swipes across the driveways and walkways. I plan on buying another one of these while they're on sale. This is my favorite shovel of my top 2 shovels of all time.UPDATE: It's New Years 2012 and this shovel is still going. We used it almost constantly last winter. The edge has worn down a bit but we smooth it over and keep using it. I love the long handle because I can push the snow without killing my back. This is a great shovel.

Works great, very sturdy.
Shoveling/pushing snow works great. Very sturdy. I borrowed one from a friend as a trial and the new one I purchased you could see the additional ribbing that was added for strength. Perfect fit for me!

easy to use
love this shovel! had one for 11 years but it was pretty worn on the end. its lightweight and easy enough for me to push the snow. I don't have to bend over and can make the sweep of the sidewalk in less time.

Okay shovel
Works as a shovel should. However, blade does not fit in tight to the handle and rattled around so I put two screws in it to secure the shovel head. Also, the blade is already wearing down after half dozen uses and not a large driveway
