3 1/4 Inch Immobilizer Collar, Beige, Small

as a consequence of failing muscles (due to als aka Lou Gehrig's disease), i have head drop that requires a neck brace/collar for almost 100% of my non-sleeping hours... though very comfortable and supportive, my primary neck collar does not have closed cell foam (Aspen Vista Cervical Collar Neck Brace Provides Neck Support and Assist Recovery from Neck Injury or Surgery (One Adjustable Size)) ... therefore, i have been showering and swimming without a brace... but, the disease status is such that i no longer have that luxury and require head support in the shower and the pool......so, now and wow!, rather than wasting my neck, i am showering and swimming, in comfort, with this very supportive and comfortable closed-cell foam brace!!! ... it has dramatically changed things for me, and i highly recommend it for anyone in need of head support for showering or the pool! 👍🏼 👍🏼some specifics; • it has a very firm, closed-cell foam, so it is very supportive • very robust, especially with rigid, anatomically-shaped, plastic supports in front and back • very well designed, anatomically and structurally • very high anticipated durability • dries by briskly shaking it off with just a bit of a towel dry • does not impede breathing, as it hits just below your clavicle • does not impede swallowing, as it supports the chin and is gapped away from the front of your neck & throat • very easy to clean and keep clean!though expected, the only con would be that it does not breath well, as it is closed cell foam, but if you cut out the trach tube hole (no, it is not cut out already, like in the picture above) and the smile-like portion below... that helps and does not diminish the support, as the rigid plastic structure is there.however, as this is primarily for showering and the pool, the non-breathable factor is not an issue......so, 5 stars all the way! and Thank you for this superb head support product!very pleased and, again, Thank you. :-)

The Velcro straps are stuck to the brace with adhesive that immediately came loose. Bought this to use in the shower after neck surgery. It didn’t even last through the first shower!!

After having neck surgery, I was told I couldn't shower with my regular neck brace. This was the only one I could find where you could shower with it. Honestly, I was expecting a better quality given the amount they charge for Styrofoam and velcro. It actually made showering harder. The adhesive keeping the strap attached fell off halfway after only using it twice, and won't stay on. Hopefully other companies learn to perfect it.

very comfortable for me. I feel better inthis that the one I was given in the hospital . Life saver comfort for me. I found it very easy to use, to take off and on.

I bought this so I wouldn't have to get my padded Aspen collar wet when showering. It does the trick -- not particularly comfortable, but it's lightweight and is impervious to water.I took a chance ordering it, given the extremely vague product description, so now that I have it in hand I will describe it: The "small" size has inner diameters of 3.5" side-to-side and 5" front-to-back; these can be enlarged a bit by loosening the straps. The front piece is about 5.75" at its tallest point, the back is 7.5" tall, and the height between shoulder and ear is 3"-4", depending on how tightly it's adjusted. It's made of dense styrofoam, with molded plastic brackets and brads.

I've purchase others, and they don't last very long. This one is well made with more durable Velcro than others. I will definitely order again from Bilt-Rite.
