A good solution for standard keys, but definitely could use some improvement.
I've had a chance to use my BladeKey Bolt for quite some time now, and I've found it quite enjoyable for the most part. However, there are a few flaws that prevent this from being a truly five-star purchase. Should you get one? If your keys are pretty static, and you don't like things poking around in your pocket, then go for it. On the fence? Here're my detailed thoughts.PROS+ Size. It's not a whole lot larger than the keys it's meant to hold. Now, obviously it's larger than one or two keys, so you'll only really see benefits over a keyring if you're filling it to capacity. But if you do, then you know exactly how much space your keys will take in your pocket, and that's rather helpful.+ Shielding. So long as you mount your keys such that the teeth face into the metal sheathe, you needn't worry about them scratching up against anything else in your pocket. Keep in mind that the BladeKey itself is anodized aluminium, so it itself does carry some sharper edges; that said, I'll take that over key teeth.+ Discreet. It's simple, and does its job with a minimal amount of fuss. Pretty low-profile as well, which also has the benefit of silencing the jangle of keys (with a provisio, though) as you take it out of your pocket.+ Firm grip/carry for key-sized tools. For example, I've got a LaCie PetiteKey 16GB USB flash drive that's really easy to carry with me. Since it's on my "keyring" and compact to boot, I don't ever regret the space it takes on my person. So if you enjoy having a versatile carry, go for it.+ Convenience of order. You know what orders your keys are in. Done. Beats the endless rotation that sometimes accompanies using a keyring.+ Space for a keyring clip. That gap on the left hand side in the product image is a great place to clip on a keyring for your larger-sized items, like car keys.+ Simple to add or remove keys. The Chicago screw works great, although you do have to watch the thread size to avoid having the screw get dragged around when you rotate your keys. Definitely not something you're going to want to swap keys on and off of though on a daily basis.CONS- Small amount of space to eject keys. The little hole that you can use for that keyring (see the last PRO) isn't really large enough to poke out your keys, so you'll have to find a way that works for you to rotate the keys out of their sheathe. This can get annoying when...- Tight spacing restricts movement. That's a good and bad thing; you don't want your keys flapping all over, but if you have slightly irregularly-sized keys (or things like my LaCie flash drive), it can be difficult to wrest them out into the open because of how the keys sit on the screw.- Tacky branding on the outside. It's annoying and really detracts from the otherwise minimal appearance of this nifty tool.- Heavy and potentially straining on whatever you insert it into. That's mostly a problem if you use a USB flash drive on your keyring like me, though.- Won't accommodate car keys and many lights. Hard to blame them for this, but worth noting.- Not super fun to use with a low number of keys. Even using the rubber spacers, you may find yourself in a situation where there's not enough "grip" to allow you to firmly rotate your key if you've only got one or two on here. Three was about the sweet spot for me where it started working well. All in all though, certainly not a purchase I regret.

Great product but not exactly as appears in pics
Pros:This product will turn your jingle jangle mess of a key chain into a sleek, singular, compliment-getting, skinny-jean-fitting unit.Setting up the keys takes only a minuteActually using a key in a lock is easier due to the extra grip the BladeKey gives youCons:Pulling one key out takes a couple seconds each time but it's easy to get used to.Now for some nitpicking.Aesthetically speaking, the version that was mailed to me was lacking what the kickstarter and the amazon photos depict.20% of the outer surface of the BladeKey has a large white made in china and patent text text that really should be on the inside surface of the unit. The bolt system has changed and instead of a smooth bold as depicted it's threaded all the way through and was clearly a solution to bring the price down.I wouldn't point stuff like this out on other products. But the goal of this product is to have a clean and minimalist key organizer. Those of us willing to pay $24 for a small piece of metal, nut and bolt care enough about aesthetics to pay a couple bucks more for a better product. My suggestion to the manufacturer:Don't make aesthetic compromises to this product. Charge a couple bucks more but keep it clean.Move the text on the inside surface, bring back the better crafted nut and bolt and you'll have a super clean 5 star product.

I didn't have to drill any of my keys but it wouldn't have bothered me much if I had to as I'm comfortable with a drill
Assembly is a bit difficult as others have said. I didn't have to drill any of my keys but it wouldn't have bothered me much if I had to as I'm comfortable with a drill. Also, it's a bit of a guess as to how many rubber rings to put into the stack, I should redo mine but it's working. That said, it does work well to keep your normal sized keys organized. I've got an extra attached ring with a spare care key and a light on it.

Difficult Assembly. Otherwise effective.
The retaining screw loosens on its own and must be tightened periodically. It's fairly difficult to assemble when full of keys. The paint is reasonably durable. The product works as intended. The product is too expensive for what it is. A lot of thought clearly went into the effective design, but I think another revision is necessary in order to make assembly more simple.People always notice this. Universally liked.

This one has been my favorite so far
This one has been my favorite so far. The only reason I do not have it now is the fact it is at the bottom of a river. I tried another one that holds keys on both ends and I am constantly having to tighten that system and the keys are folding out in my pocket. This one, is by far the best one. The only downside is that you need to order for the right number of keys.

Don't waste your time or your money.
Not a satisfying purchase. First, the parts came in a little plastic bag containing the parts, but no instructions or even a diagram that shows how it's put together. (I understand generally how it's supposed to be assembled, but the parts include five rubber washers that are not all the same and therefore not interchangeable, and there ought to be some indication of where one uses which washer. Plus, there are two bolts, but I can't imagine how to use more than one of them in assembling the device . . . and one of the bolts cannot be screwed into the lone "nut.") The biggest problem is that none of my keys will fit on the spindle that is supposed to hold the keys -- the holes in the keys are too small. Yet these are perfectly standard house and office keys, and if these keys won't fit on this key holder, what sorts of keys is it designed to hold? I hope Amazon will let me return it.

the edges are a little rough and sharp but over all this was a good purchase. I haven't cut myself on it yet so I say over all the functionality and strength of this product makes it a win.
