As a previous English Teacher, I was utterly confused about the legal framework of a law school exam, until my professor recommended this book to me. It has released so much anxiety and provided the guidance that my professors never gave me. Law Professors from my experience are good at describing what they want, but will never tell you exactly that. This book provides examples of how legal writing functions from paragraph to paragraph. It addresses issue spotting and effective use of the IRAC method.

I like the books tips on how to prepare for writing exams. Issue spotting, element by element analysis and organization are keys to get good grades on finals

Short read for the pre-law student. Your professors will have their own preferences of course, but this gives you a good starting point. Law school is like nothing you have done before - good luck!

I bought this book because I am in need of it for school. The cover has a cut (which at first was fine)... until I opened the book to read it and it is sideways. On top of that, it looks like it was photocopied.

The book is literally printed upside down in reverse order. Opening from the front cover, you will find the last page printed upside down. In order to read the book, you must flip the book over and turn it upside down...this is utterly pathetic that any publisher would allow this to happen. Did no one review this product for quality assurance? Was the publisher drunk? I’m amazed...

Everything makes more sense now. I think half of my class has a parent or other family member in the profession. The book made exams easier.

Breaks down the process in very understandable steps. But, it is necessary to read often to keep the skills fresh.

Easy read. Helpful for study and exam prep.
