So I ordered 2 of these several weeks ago, and then 2 more about a week later. I left them outside on my porch so the sun could charge the batteries really well before I mounted them on my fence in the back yard.I have these setup to only come on if motion is detected.Once they were in place on my fence they worked great for a few weeks, now one hardly ever comes on and the other one will come on 5 maybe 7 times a night when we walk outside and then it won't come on at all for the rest of the night. These are in a place where they get plenty of direct sunlight during the day, so the batteries should be charging on sunny days. I had other models in the same location these are installed and those would last several hours each night and would even work for days if it was cloudy.These

First of all before anything remeber to measure the size of this light. I didn't and it is smaller than I expected originally. However the light does deliver and it is very useful but the advertising on the listing of this specific product was kind of misleading in the sense that this could technically work all night nonstop. The light does technically work all night nonstop for around to 7 to 8 hours but that is very dim light not a bright light. It works on dim mode that really does not male a differnce. You would need the bright mode and that mode is used for a couple of hours and only when motion is detected. For that purpose this works great and the light is more than sufficient. I personally put this light in my backyard on my balcony and it works great! The only negative is the misleading advertising other then that I like it.

Very short life span. Bought two , one worked for while say 6 months or more with using the motion detector to turn on and off. After that it would only turn on at sunset for a bout an hour then die. I had not changed the settings it was for off grid application. The second one never really worked right from the box. Could not get it to turn on with motion, it just acted odd each time tried to use it. Looking for other options

Update: This product worked from Nov '18 thru December '19, so you get about 1 year's use out of it.This product works sporadically. I have walked right in front of it at night, after blazing hot, sunny days, and it did not come on. The range is VERY poor also, when it comes on. I live in the Florida Keys, lots of sunshine, the solar element is pointed straight at the sky that has at least 9 hours of direct sunlight, so I don't know what the problem is.

First unit I received last until the first rain then went nuts. Second unit has been good for a month or so now. Nice light to see what you are doing, but won't want to read the paper with it. Mine is set to motion sensor then the time and goes out. On this setting the battery last all night and it works until dawn. This is the only way I use it so I can't speak for battery longivity on the continuous modes.

Light weight, very bright, motion sensor works good. The only problem is, that if you want to change the lighting mode, you have to take the fixture down to do so. Controls are on the back of the fixture. Very inconvenient and poor design. Need a remote or move the controls to where you don't have to take fixture down. Then it would be the perfect 5 star fixture.

We love this light. It was extremly easy to install. Only two screws, that were provided. We installed it centered on our 3 car garage doors. We actually had to place it on the rain gutter which worked out perfectly. This enabled the fixture to get more direct sunlight for "charging up". This LED light illuminates the driveway very nicely. One can always use more light right? A++

This solar powered lift is smaller than I would have thought but it does put out a good bit of light. We have a large playground in our backyard and I installed this on the front the playground. The motion sensor activates the lights when the kids go out and play just after dark.
