waterproof rucksack
needing a waterproof rucksack as I do a 60 mile round trip commute 5 days a week this absolutely fits the bill, great to wear with nice long straps to adjust over my motorbike jacket with outer windproof jacket on too. totally dry, great product and looks well made and robust. Rare to find these days and no zips to break!

Great value and quality but could use improvement
This bag is clearly well made and has enough space for what I need it to hold (laptop, change of clothes, a few work files and food etc). The elastic mesh on the front is good for holding waterproofs/hi-viz etc.Slight negatives are the absence of an external pocket for keys etc and the laptop compartment which is far too small - no laptop is fitting in there!Overall a great value product and a good choice for a roll top waterproof bag that doesn’t cost the earth.

Comfortable, Belt strap easy to fasten
I've had the Ettore cycling rucksack 30l for 2 weeks now, to replace my ageing Aquapac 25l rucksack. I've not used it in the rain or on a bike yet, but only to get to the gym and day hikes. The best part about this new rucksack is that the straps are all the perfect size and length. The belt strap is fixed and secures in the middle of your waist. The Aquapac straps were all way too long and the thin waist strap was optional with awkward securing at the sides only. I like the internal pouch and zipper pouch - very handy for securing a small laptop or tablet and makes it easy to stow and find other smaller items. I've yet to discover how durable it is but time will tell. Best of all it's more than £20 cheaper than the Aquapac.

A very trustworthy backpack
I ordered it in August, 2020 during covid restrictions. The package I got looked like it was cut open and repacked. And the bag accidentally sliced in half on one side along the cut in the package (I suspect it must be during some sort of check during transport). The spelled promptly replaced the item.PROS: have used the cycling bag almost everyday for about 2.5 years now. Recently there is a tiny hole in the waterproof top layer in the folding area due to repeated usage and the bag is not fully waterproof under heavy showers. Looks like it is time to get a new Ettore bag.CON: In summer above 20°C it gets quite warm to cycle which is to be expected. When the load is heavy (with computer, heavy lock,..), the shoulder strap gets slightly uncomfortable.Overall a good bag, well worth the money.

Waterproof Tardis
Very happy with the bag. 100% waterproof, absolutely cavernous inside but comfortable and compst to wear on the bike. The only problem is that the back doesn't breathe at all (D'uh obviously!) so my back does get sweaty with it.

Comfortable bag for commuting
I have the bag for over a month and it is comfortable for commuting into work. The bag has a pocket for a laptop but unless it’s very small it won’t fit, buts it’s handy for pens, notebooks etc. The side net pockets are handy for bottles or even your phone, and the chest strap keeps the bag nice and tight on you while cycling.

partially satified
good for carrying packed lunches and change of clothes, but it is by no means a laptop carry backpack

Just what I needed for commuting
So far so good, used for several months. Great in rain, and well made. Can hold lots of stuff, but I try to keep it light to help with the cycling!

J'adore!

Ettore backpack HIGHLY recommended
The media could not be loaded. Love the pack. Purchased about 3 months ago. After much research and comparing with Australian products I went with Ettore based a friend’s referral. Yes I got it sent to Australia and it didn’t take too long to arrive. It hasn’t seen any rain yet so can’t comment on waterproofing but I’d wager good money on the bag delivering 100% in this dept. It is so comfortable, holds loads of gear. I am 150 cms tall and have loaded it to top, and in this situation I did find my rear vision slightly blocked, but not an issue if you are a confident rider. That is not a bag fault, it’s a body size, but not a problem, just adjust your ride for that moment you need to check behind. It just lost a star as the front elastic catch has broken. I have contacted Ettore and they have so far been timely in responding to my query. The bag is strong, the clips are not lightweight and I cannot imagine them breaking easy. One of the side pouches has freyed away from its top elastic- maybe I was a bit rough trying to put too much in and my fingers caused this seam to split and separate in a small area. I can still use the pouch but be a bit cautious. They are small side pouches, not able to handle large bottles. I easily slip in a bottle diameter 70mm 230mm tall. The photo shows the bottle. The other pouch I store one front and one small rear light and half finger gloves. I slide a canvas slim bag under the front elastic straps to provide access to phone, glasses, work passes, keys sunblock etc. I was hoping to store my helmet but felt it was not wide enough for this so my helmet hangs off here or inside the bag. The inside pockets are sturdy and not going to rip or tear. The larger one has a ruthlessly strong wide Velcro strap, I slide my surface pro 6 (with cover on) in here with ease.Being short stature I’ve always had a problem with the sternum chest strap location on other backpacks . The Adjustments did not allow me to move the strap high enough. I’ve always had to add another strap higher up the shoulder straps. I do not have to do this with This Ettore, it allows me adjust the strap in the perfect spot. 🥰. If I was 5-10 cm shorter it would have been a problem. Congratulations Ettore- I was not expecting the strap to adjust to my height.I do recommend the bag. Bit disappointed with the front strapping failure, the side pouch is not an issue- I can still use the pouch. It’s a bag I use every day, it’s going to get a few minor scrapes.I do recommend.I will update this review with progress on communication with Ettore.Ettore have kindly offered to refund or provide new bag, as covered by warranty. I have requested replacement as I believe it is a quality bag and will suit my purposes. I still recommend the bag and Ettore for being responsive.Update 25/4/2024 - Ettore were great, I chose a different model -Sonar-25 litres as my replacement. I received it within two weeks. 🙂 I have used it daily for a week. It’s a better bag for my body size ( 150cm- 50 kilos) the bag fits great, the sternum strap is located high enough 🙂, the straps and clips are strong, the back padding is great. The front pocket holds more than I expected- phone and two pairs of glasses, headband easily. An option to hook a light on the backpack seems pretty sturdy provided you use commonsense with what you thread through it. I’ve been hanging my helmet off here. The back is highly reflective in the dark- it’s great. The big difference between the bags is the capacity- 30 litres versus 25 litres - 5 litres is a lot. But to be sensible the smaller bag is most suitable for a smaller body like mine. It just felt so much better on my back. In 40 years I’ve never had a pack that felt so good. It just moulded and hugged my back well. If you’re short in stature like me I highly recommend this bag provided the capacity works for you. Otherwise if you need to carry more you won’t be disappointed by the larger size. Still haven’t tested water proof. But have no doubt it will work. I’ll post a video of a test. Good job Ettore, great product great service.Update July 2024. No video of waterproof test, sorry. But I guarantee this pack is waterproof, strong and tolerant of my requirements. I’ve been using the smaller white 25 litre pack everyday now for practically 2 months. Had to come back and express how satisfied I am with the pack. Ive had a couple of 5 km rides in blustering torrential rain where I had to dismount for safety. Absolutely nothing got wet. I am totally confident that bag contents will be dry at the end of any ride. The outer pocket is also impervious to the rain, I am so confident that I put my phone in here. I’ve had wet rides with only 2 roll downs and all was dry.I still use the larger bag for larger load journeys and have total confidence in it being impervious to rain. Both bags are durable and withstanding my use. I cycle, they get dumped onto concrete floors and general indoor surfaces, so can’t comment on how they withstand extreme outdoor kayaking climbing etc. but I think they would stand up well.Packing? If you like pockets etc, just put your items into another thin bag first. I put my lunch into a plastic bag( it’s cold from the fridge so that cold moisture doesn’t wick into my dry work clothes). I put my bike locks and lights into a soft lightweight canvas bag- easy to locate them all, and to soften the contact of the sharpness of my Dlock prongs against the larger bag. I get more into the smaller bag than I used to into 30 litre Pacsafe. ( which is a good bag, just not waterproof and doesn’t hold enough. )I waffle on too much - haha. But it’s because I love the bags. Yes it’s white, but it looks smart. Yes I try to keep it clean but it’s going to show scuffs easier. If it fails, would I buy another or change brands? But I can’t see it failing, without it being my fault; so therefore I’d probably come back for another Ettore. High points:1. The neat fit on my smaller body - 150cm tall2. Capacity- it’s like Mary Poppins handbag3. Waterproof4. Brilliant customer serviceI’ve now water tested it. Several rides in rain. One ride had 30 ml in one hour- torrential- I had to walk some of it. Drizabone as we say. Nada. Not a single drop got in.

Guter Fahrradrucksack
