The only sunscreen and moisturizer! I order the bottles by the dozen. Our children use it, too. .
Solbar Cream SPF 50 is the only sunscreen lotion I ever use. My dermatologist was delighted that I had discovered this lotion years and years ago. She is convinced the Solbar SPF 50 is the best moisturizer on the market.I am of Scot "heritage" with red-hair and faint freckles--faint because of the efficacy of the sunscreen. I am a "walking basal cell skin cancer (carcinoma) (BCE) waiting to happen". I apply this protection every day, come rain or shine, making sure I get the lotion on all the skin of my ears. These tender structures are so vulnerable to sun damage.I have never had a BCE on my head, face or neck. How I wish I had known about Solbar SPF 50 when I was a teen. I protected my face with a funny straw hat, but left the remainder of my body splayed out on the southern California beaches to gather "a gorgeous tan". Not!!! I burn.I have had four basal cell cancers and three squamous cell cancers--not good--removed with sutures and scarring. My board certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons are superb.Fortunately, the skin on my face is incredible, no thanks to my previous wisdom and habits. Strangers comment on the "beauty" of my facial skin. I give Solbar SPF 50 all the credit.NOTE; Be cautious to keep it out of your eyes. It burns!I used to wear the 50 + the 30 SPF. Research has shown that 50 is the maximum needed even for vulnerable tissue such as mine.Go for it!

This is the good stuff
Glad to see this available on Amazon. Previously, we could only get it from the dermatologist's office. This does an excellent job protecting us from the sun's harmful rays and doesn't sweat off.

because it works great! After turning 30
This is the first sunblock I've ever used consistently, because it works great! After turning 30, I started breaking out more (damn hormones) and the breakouts were leaving dark spots on my face. My dermatologist said I needed to start wearing sunblock every day, and not just the kind that you find in your Oil of Olay moisturizer.I mix about a pea size amount of this sunblock with my daily moisturizer, and it works wonderfully -- there is no residue after application. The scarring on my face has lessened considerably, and it does not make my skin break out in the slightest. For the price, it is a thousand percent worth it.

Okay does the trick.
I got a sample from my doctor. The bottle I received the cream was not as thick.I have carcinoma and this one does not make my eyes burn if by chance it gets in them.

Solbar PF cream 50
I used to be able to buy this product at Kaiser and they no longer carry it and it is the only one that really works for me. I bought Neutrogena Ultra Sheer from another store but it contains Avobenzone which actually burned my face, cheeks red for two weeks after only one application. . So I was thrilled that I found what I wanted this time from Pharmapacks and I will continue to purchase from them. Solbar PF 50 is a cream so it is absorbed into the skin and retains a slight cream feel. Very Happy!

Great if you have well water
Before I used Neutrogena UltraSheer SPF 55. And I had problems with marks around my tee shirt collars. My wife couldn't get them out. I told my Dermatoligst about it and he said its from one of the ingredients in Neutrogena. That does that from the iron in well water. Since that I used Solbar and have had no problem. I like the fact that it also has no sun tan smell like some of the others.

Best SPF50 for people of color
My Dermatoligist recommended this product 20 years ago; it is excellent for Afro-American skin. Also great if you suffer from contact dermatitis, which is what I have.
