It works perfectly despite some of the reviews I read. Holds all my knives and they never slip. Well made.

It looks exactly like the posted image. The last few twists on the screws (attaching the stand to the mounting board) were pretty tight - some people might have an issue getting the base tightly installed. Not really a negative because you want it tight. Just make sure to use the right size screw driver. Too small a screwdriver will likely strip the head when you are tightening it up.The magnets on mine are pretty strong. None of my knives have slid / fallen off. that includes a pair of kitchen scissors which are held directly on. The vertical surface is 7" tall. I have a couple long carving knives that extend about an inch above the top, but I don't think it is a big deal. I keep my steak knives / detail knives in front and my larger knives in back so it isn't even noticeable.

This worked well for the few knives we have for it. It has a select few spots in it where the maginents are. It holds securely and we have not had a knife or scissors come loose in the 5 months we have used it.

Fakespot gave it an F bc the last review was dated from 03/2019. I'm giving it an A for strong magnet, clean look and the capacity!It is a bit expensive but I prefer this look way over the old wooden block

You have to position knives carefully so that the magnets attract the blade, otherwise they will slip. I have to put my chef's knife at an angle, it's too long sit vertically. I find I have to position my knives so that the flange of the handles keeps them from sliding downward. Positioning my poultry shears so they will stay in place requires repeated tries. It's like there are magnets in some areas but not others. I'll keep using it, I just moved into a new place with a very small kitchen and every square inch counts, so it is effective in that way.I do not believe the board could handle as many knives as displayed in the illustration. I have a really nice paring knife with a small blade and a sturdy handle. I have to slide it around to get it somewhere there is enough hold to keep in place. In other words, the blade area to handle size/weight ratio is a factor.

Works great for me in my craft room, allows me to select the dies I need and keeps them organized while I process my cutting plans.

Love this magnetic knife block! It looks great on my counter and makes storing knives incredibly easy to under my cabinets.
