A great little read, only 4 stars because it’s so short.

A good enough read in many ways but related in a dull, monotonous way, much like a school essay from an ordinary pupil. However, some good little nuggets of info. inside, and it certainly jogged my memory, at a time I was in college and starting my first jobs. In my own mind, the 70's still seem comparatively recent, yet reading this booklet, and remembering plus seeing the fashions and inside typical homes,I realise it was indeed quite distant now.

spot on little book great read

I love everything about the 70s, I spent all my childhood years in those glorious days. However I was disappointed by this book for the following reasons:1) it is a print on demand book, so all colour photos are not glossy but look like colour photocopies2) the size is that of a typical paperback novel - I was expecting an A4-size book3) a lot of the photos seem to be of the authors' family and friends! The others are standard photos of what people consider "typical seventies" (David Bowie, spacehopper, Concorde etc etc yawn yawn), and4) the photo of a "Raleigh Chopper" is actually of the Tomahawk (which I had as a nipper) !!

Le livre est arrivé en temps et en heure, c'est bien ! Mais pour être honnête, je n'avais pas fait attention au nombre de pages de ce livre et j'ai donc été surprise de voir qu'il était si court. En revanche, c'est une première approche qui peut être assez intéressante pour qui cherche à en savoir plus sur les années 70. Mais il faudra approfondir le sujet si on veut réussir l'agrégation avec cela ! Au moins, il est abordable !

I was living in England in the 1970s wow did this book bring back a lot of memories ,, now and again it is good to back to the past and compare it to the future , life was so much more easy back then ,, My son is 26 years old and saids the best years were the 1970s and 1908s, He thinks i was so lucky growing up back in the good old days, and England to boot,, What more can you ask for Mom , as he is USA born and bred
