Super cute!
This is going to look perfect for my Halloween outfit! It's not too short. There is almost no stretch though so order with that in mind. It's a little snug on my ribcage.

BUY THE DANG SKIRT!!
I have had these skirts for three years now.One of the best pieces I have ever gotten from Amazon! The quality of the fabric isn’t mind blowing, but it’s thick, and the pleads are crisp. These skirts have not frayed, do not look cheap, and overall are the perfect length. Not too short, but not too long either.A stranger walked up to me and complimented my skirt, and gasped when I told her I got it for around 25 dollars. These skirts are the truth.Only negative: Size exclusive. I used to be a size 10, meaning I got the 2xl. Since losing weight, I got the XL (size 8) in red (not pictured) and the other skirts altered. This brand is NOT plus size friendly, which is incredibly archaic in 2023.But overall, one of the best Amazon purchases I’ve made. (More like my Mom made, this is her account). Buy the skirt, you won’t regret it.

I love this skirt!!! But be aware of the size you are ordering!!!
This is my absolute favorite pleated skirt I have ever bought!!!! But, as other reviews had already mentioned, the ordering needs to be carefully reviewed!!!SIZING:I originally DID NOT take my measurements and ordered my usual size in skirts, which is between a small and a medium (I typically wear size 5 - 7 pants, leaning more so to the size 7). If you look at the sizing chart, the Medium is the Waist size (67.5 cm/26.5 inch). I returned it because it was too tight on me and ordered a Large. This one was still kinda tight on me, and I was concerned with the sizing. That is when I actually took my measurements and returned the Large and got the X-Large (75cm/29.5 inch). This skirt fits perfect and I really recommend this size to those who wear similar size pants like me. (If I HAD to be specific about which pant size this would be best for, I would go with a size 6.) For reference, I am 4'11 inches tall and weigh about 135 pounds. The fit of the skirt is so nice if you get your appropriate size and be mindful of the sizing chart. (I returned the skirts 2 times when I ordered wrong and had no trouble with the seller, so don't be afraid if it takes a try or two to find your fit.)Please keep in mind that the skirt is secured by a button and the waist does not really stretch!!! So, this is an area where the sizing matters because if it is too tight, it will be leaving a mark on your waistline. If you are good at sewing, you can always move the button for a more comfortable fit.STYLE:The pleats are exactly the look you are looking for if you are trying to cosplay or go for the uniform look. I had so much trouble finding skirts the preserved their pleats after being washed. If after a couple of washes you find that the pleats don't lay flat or aren't keeping their fold, I would recommend ironing them down with a wet handkerchief on top or a layer of some sort so as to not burn the skirt (this is just based on my personal experience, so take this advice with caution). The material is also really nice and good quality. It weighs against your body a little bit, very much like traditional uniforms. There are no shorts under or attached, which is typically my preference because I find that, when skirts come attached with shorts, they end up affecting the fit and look of the skirt. This skirt allows you to put on your own pair of spandex or whatever bottoms you like, if you don't want your underwear to accidentally show on a windy day, for example.I do want to add that if you are planning on getting the white skirt (or another lighter color), be aware that there is some minor transparency. The pleats kind of help for the most part, but if you are wearing dark or patterned underwear, it will show. I recommend either wearing nude or white underwear/boxer shorts if you find this a problem. The red skirt (and I assume other darker colors of this skirt) are not see-through.Overall, I really recommend this skirt. It is literally my favorite skirt, and skirts have been a typical part of my wardrobe for years! I have 2 colors so far and will definitely be buying additional colors in the future.

Inconsistent product each time
I ordered this in light pink and the light pink plaid. I received two completely different products in term of sizing, length, construction, waistband / button design. The plaid one was a nicer, heavier fabric and construction. It had a tag with clean finished construction inside, two buttons for adjustable fit and was a very nice product I would order again and again. The plain pink one was tighter, shorter, thinner fabric, and the construction and button detail was of a much lower quality. I plan to keep this, but I will need to sew a lining in due to how sheer the fabric is.Since I liked the light pink plaid I did order the grey/purple plaid and white/black to see if I would get a similar quality. The purple/grey was identical to the pink plaid. The black/white was a similar heavier fabric, but the same lesser quality construction as the plain pink skirt.I ordered a 14 and the fit is true to the measurement on the size guide, with some variance. The pink plaid measured big at 35” and the plain pink was 34”. The plaid was nice since it had two buttons so you could adjust the fit. My waist is 32-33” and both skirts fit me well enough. The plaid is a little big. The plain pink fits but I can't tuck anything heavy tucked in. I would go up if you are between sizes to accommodate tucking a sweater in, and because bodies bloat throughout the day. You can easily move the button if you waist shrinks, but you can't make it bigger.Overall I love the higher quality skirts I received and would recommend them, but wish all of them were the same quality. If everyone skirt was the same quality as the pink and grey plaid ones I would buy every color.

This is how a plaid skirt should be made. Definitely will buy more in other colors later.
Ordered this for my daughter in XL in Dark Blue Mixed White to match the Nuotuo Womens British Style High School Uniform Sets for Halloween, because I anticipated the skirt that came with the uniform set to be too small. She absolutely loves it. I'm very grateful for Ace's detailed and thorough review & updates on this skirt. Everything she said is 100% accurate. For reference, my daughter is 5' 8" & 3/4, 155-158 lbs. Chest & shoulders: 41" (104.14 cm). Waist: 30" (76.2 cm). Hips: 41" (104.14 cm). She gives it a 10/10.CAUTION:1) With all Asian-sized apparel, never go by Amazon clothing sizes, your normal clothing size number, or even the sizing listed under Product Description (section located right beneath the Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought...). Read The Entire Page to look for Any discrepancy in size listings. If sizing in the Product Description section does not match the size list under the Color Selections exactly word-for-word, click on Every Color to see if the page reloads or size description changes. Even if the store/warehouse is US-based or has Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA) guarantee, as long as it's mostly Asian girl models in pics or comments say fit is small, check to see where it is manufactured. If it's not a reputable company like Ann Taylor, J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, Gap, etc, the factories can still have higher-error margins in Western sizing. And that is a big-enough risk with online shopping because it's such a hassle to return stuff and return shipping can cost more than the item itself.2) Even though most of these sellers declare Asian Sizing, different factories & different brands can still vary. Depending on how big/small or reputable a brand may be, not every factory has tight quality control. Many retail clothing companies use vanity sizing as a marketing technique, even in Asian markets overseas. Use a clothing tape to measure yourself for the most accurate, reliable info. If the size listing is ambiguous in any way, email them directly for clarification if possible. This way, if it's a reputable brand, you'll have a record of their words as evidence. If not, a lack of physical address, phone number, or sometimes a fishy email address, you'll have a more reliable gut feeling. Google their company name/info and even check Ebay (I've seen some sellers on Ebay are the same sellers on Amazon) to check their credibility/reliability from more comments/reviews.Why she loves it:1) The 31"-waist-size skirt is true to size. I'm so glad they based the size on numeric-waist-size instead of just S, M, L, XL, XXL, etc. This makes it so much easier for us to choose the correct size instead of guessing based on our Western clothing size charts. Size is just a number; it's the fit that counts.2) The length is perfect, not too long, not too short. Skirt falls slightly above her midthigh (like the length of Tail-brand tennis skirts) and the back does hike up a little bit due to feminine curves. But it's not cheerleading-skirt-short that she will have to wear shorts beneath the skirt. The 31" waist does give her enough room to slide it a little lower down the waist to make it longer if she wants to do so.3) Plaid fabric is thin enough, but not see-through at all. There is no need for a lining. Fabric is so good that it is suitable for day-to-day wear, not merely for Halloween or Cosplay.4) The pleats are pressed and crisp right out of the package. There is enough fabric for the pleats to be crisp and straight. In fact, they are so straight that even the plaid lines match from one pleat to the next. It's quite rare to be able to find reasonably-priced-mass-produced plaid skirts that can match the 80s-90s-era-quality on the market nowadays.5) The craftsmanship is excellent, with a fully-hidden zipper and straight stitches that lay flat.Cons:None.

Decent, cute skirt but issues with sizing
For reference, my waist is 28 in., my hips are 36 in., and my upper thigh circumference is 20.5 in. I bought an XL (29.5 inch waist) with the idea in mind that I could have extra room for shirts and sweaters to tuck in. However, I had WAY too much room. The skirt fit right above my hips.. And I wanted to wear it high-waisted. I measured the skirt's waist and found that it was approximately 30 inches.. So, just a warning - their measurements aren't exact. Sewing the button flap back and on the inside of the waistband (see 5th pic) didn't help. I'm not sure what I'll do - add an elastic waistband, reduce the size of some/all of the pleats, cut out a pleat or two entirely? It's tricky to make a pleated skirt smaller through alterations so you have to be 100% sure to get the correct size. Before ordering, I knew that an L (27 inch waist) definitely would not fit. As an aside, I'm not sure why there's a whole 2.5 inch increment between an L and an XL?? From the XL to the 4XL, the increment between each size is only 1.5 inches. I really wish the sizing was consistent and that there was a 28.5 inch size!****EDIT: They've since fixed the sizing increments. Now there is a 1.5 inch increment between every size. It used to be that the L was 27 in. and the XL was 29.5 in. Currently, the L is 28 inches. If only that were the case when I bought this skirt three months ago....**** When the skirt arrived, there was a crease where the skirt was folded for packaging. After ironing the entire skirt over twice, I managed to smooth it out. The pattern is bright and cute. The pleats are a decent size (1.75 inches wide). The length of the skirt itself is about 15.5 inches, the same for every size. The material is light, but it definitely isn't sheer. In the last picture I'm holding one part of the skirt up to light to show how thin the material is. It's definitely some sort of cotton/polyester blend. HOWEVER, you cannot see through the skirt at all. It's light enough to wear in the spring, and even summer. Also, the skirt does not flare out as much as in the product picture which was a bit of a bummer. It was clearly made to be worn on the hips, and NOT on the waist. It's misleading to advertise it as high-waisted. NOTE: I think a lot of reviewers are saying that it "runs small" because they didn't measure themselves properly. They just see that other reviewers say to go up 2-3 sizes, which isn't applicable to every person due to each individual's perceived size, actual body type, what size chart they're using to measure their size, etc., etc. So, because the buyer didn't take the time to measure their waist, they received a skirt that didn't match up with their actual size. Others may just be commenting that it's shocking to find that an Asian M is the equivalent of an American XL. Now, some may mean that the skirt runs small only in terms of length. Each skirt is 15.5 inches long, regardless of waist size. For bigger women, this could prove to be an issue as wider hips can make the skirt flare out. Thus, the skirt doesn't cover as much skin than if it was worn by a thinner woman with smaller hips. The skirt would lay more straight on the thinner woman, and thus appear longer. But overall, this is a decent skirt. It's hard to find a pleated, plaid skirt on Amazon that isn't super revealing. It works for everyday wear.EDIT: I updated this on 10/10/16 to include more helpful info, as well as to point out that the sizing issue has been fixed.

Worked out great!
TLDR; XXL fit great, I’m a sz 10 in jeans/30 waistI ordered this for my family trip to Universal Studios as we dressed up as the characters from Despicable Me. It worked great for my Margo costume. I wore shorts underneath as it didn’t have any attached but I preferred it this way bc it 1) makes going to the bathroom easier imo 2) I like to wear my things pretty high waisted and i tired another skort (short & skirt 1 piece) and I didn’t like it as much bc I couldn’t wear it as high. The color and pattern was fine. I didn’t inspect it too well so I didn’t notice any major flaws. It isn’t sheer (as I got a darker fabric). It wasn’t smelly or itchy out the bag. Sorry I didn’t get many photos showing the skirt.

I tried so hard to make this work.
This skirt just did not work out for me, unfortunately. It is difficult to get the correct size. I am 5'2, 121-124 pounds (depending on the day). I read the reviews and decided to order a L and XL. I also asked under the questions and it was suggested I get a M. The question was answered after I already ordered the L and XL and it was too late to cancel. I decided to also order the M and hope that one of them would fit. All three arrived and none of them fit properly. The large felt tight in the waist and was waaay too short, The XL fit okay... it was still a little tight in the waist and still too short. I didn't even bother to try on the medium. I decided that since it is a cute skirt, I would order the XXL and XXXL. Keep in mind that I am a pretty small person. I normally wear a small (and every now and then a medium if I want a loose fit). The XXXL arrived first. It was so large that it hung down around my hips. The length was actually what I wanted so I was tempted to keep it, but it was just too large for me. The XXL fit around the waist better, but was a bit too short for what I wanted (I know a lot of people like it short, but I wanted it to be longer). I maybe would have kept this one, but it was defective. Unlike the others I tried on, it had two buttons and a weird flap that stuck out in the back. It was definitely not made properly. After all that, I decided it's not worth anymore time and effort. Had it been a bit longer, I might have tried.

Color difference and fabric
I expected this to be a much brighter color than shown. That could absolutely just be a screen difference and i do not blame the manufacturer, but please be aware. The size i got fit me perfectly BUT the fabric is not stretchy in the slightest.

Very cute, well made but runs small (even from chart)
I got this for a costume and followed the size chart. Unfortunately, it was still at least two sizes too small even following the chart (and I measured, I didn't guess). It seemed well made and heavier fabric than expected. The colors would be very cute for a certain wizarding school house that wears blue. At 5'10" it would be very short (too short for my modesty level).

good for costumes, you need shorts
Alright so. I got this skirt because my friend made a picrew of me in a plaid pleated skirt and i was like... yeah lemme do that... It is kind of expensive for the quality (as it is kind of thin and stiff, but i haven’t washed it yet and i am a cheapskate) so i would say that if you’re planning on using this for a costume or a cosplay— perfect. If you want it for every day wear, only get it if you reaaally love one of the colors. I’m kind of built like a box (hips and waist are only an inch or two different) and it fit me as expected. I got a medium and my height and weight are listed somewhere. Ladies, it does indeed cover up the muffin top, god bless. But muffin tops are cute regardless. U r a model and I love you. (It also arrived in a very, very timely fashion. like i didn’t even have time to do my little “ahh should i have ever bought that” because boom! on my doorstep)

Very cute, but nervous to wash it.
These skirts have been trending for awhile and I decided to purchase one off Amazon. It came in the mail and it was really cute. It fit my waist size, but I am a bit thicker in the hips so it was ultimately a little too short. (Size 14 US) I am however, also nervous to wash it, because I'm guessing that the pleats of the skirt will come out in the wash. This would just leave me with a basic skirt with no ruffle, so I don't really want to do that. I would probably not buy another one because I disliked the material, I was looking for a much softer skirt, and this one was coarse on the outer layer. But if that is what you're looking for, I'm sure someone out there would buy it.

Perfect!
Perfect pleated plaid skirt for trip to wizarding world of Harry Potter for my Raven claw look. Fit as expected. I went a size up to the 14 or 4X as recommended by other reviewers. I probably would have been fine with the 12. It has 2 sides buttons, so you can adjust it. I actually cut one off and moved it and re sewed it on so it would be tighter in the waist to compensate for it being Slightly too big. My waist is 33”. If you know you’re measurements you should be fine following the size chart. The colors looked great and the fabric is woven with no stretch which helps hold the pleats. I washed it by hand and it still looks great. Length was perfect! Would def recommend.

If your a taller girl or have wider hips and a butt, this skirt might not be for you.
I am 5'5" and around 160-170lbs. I like to wear my skirts higher up on my waist. My waist is 29in. I got an XL, and it did fit my waist perfectly. The material is okay, not too thin, however my problem was it was too short for the placement I wanted it. My wider hips or butt made the back material shorter. The backside of the skirt pretty much could show everything if i wasn't wearing some type of shorts underneath, and bending over even a little bit was a definite no-no in this skirt. I ended up returning to look for one that has a longer length.

My favorite skirt but I was sent the wrong size.
I love this skirt. It is a staple in my closet. The material is very nice. It’s not too thick or thin and isn’t sheer at all. My only problem is that when I ordered it, the seller reached out to me and asked me my measurements to get me the right size. I was very flattered that they would do this for me and they sent me a large instead of a medium. And it was way too big! Thankfully, I am a seamstress so I was able to alter it to my size.
