SamsonBL3 Ultra-Light Boom Stand

I use this in my studio where it doesnt get moved around a lot. Its light but not flimsy and does the job and holds a large diaphragm condenser with no issues. I liked it so much I bought another.

I almost didn't buy this mic stand because of ultra-light being in the name, but this is a pretty solid mic stand. It has plastic hardware, but I won't be adjusting this one on a regular basis, so it should hold up just fine. We use it in our practice space to hold dynamic vocal mics. I don't know how it well it will hold up to a heavy condenser, but it will hold your sm57s and 58s no problem. Samson makes good stands, and even though this, I believe, is their bottom of the line stand, it's pretty decent. Would recommend!

I purchased this item partly on the basis of the claim in Product information that it only weighs one pound. I should've judged by the shipping weight: this mic stand weighs five pounds. It's a nicely put together, thoroughly adjustable, functional and intuitive five pound mic stand.

Weighs 4 pounds 8 oz assembled.Tripod leg base folds in for storage as well as the boom arm.0ther than the the **not included mic holder, all is pre assembled.The boom arm is weighted on one end to counter balance the mic on the other end.If I needed another, I'd buy it again.So far on first "out of box inspection" it seems to be made well for the price (under $20 at the time of purchase).

...the bottom screw invariably wears out and the stand becomes useless. They should sell replacement parts for those screws!

A pretty good stand for microphones, but if you intend to buy this (like I did) for a webcam or something similar, you are making a big mistake as the screw at the end moves easily.

Excelente soporte para micrófono. Ligero y fácil de instalar y guardar. Sólo se debe tener cuidado al apretar los tornillos. Es al "llegue", ya que si se aprieta demasiado se desgasta la cuerda y fallan los tornillos muy pronto.

This is my second purchase of this stand. It is strong, lightweight and cheap. What more do you need?

This is a very good quality mic stand.. the quality and finish is superb..on sturdyness i will rather expect more but since it is light weight it is good to carry along.. for more sturdyness u can add a metal plate at the bottom rod so that it does not fall or topple.. the very good thing about this mic is that u get a Stainless steel adapter to convert 5/8 inch nut to 3/8 inch nut..and so u can fit your condenser microphone bracket to the 3/8inch nut easily..this adapter is not easily available online and in stores and is very costly..but u get it free with this mic..so overall this is a very affordable deal..go for it..
