Cost effective comfort
Assembly straightforward with tools supplied. Just one screw didn't want to play but a bit of brute force convinced it otherwise.Very smart looking chair with comfortable large seat and supportive mesh back. Fits the curve of my back perfectly. The lift up arms are genius, the chair can be then stored out of the way under the desk and arms simply dropped down for use.Value for money chair.

Cheap and comfortable chair. Highly recommend.
This chair was reasonably easy to assemble upon arrival. It took me about an hour. I do think the instructions left a bit to be desired but I was able to make reasonable inferences to finish building the chair. For as cheap as this chair is, in comparison to more high-end chairs, I can say thay I'm satisfied in terms of comfort. I'm relatively tall, 6 foot 2 and have long legs so required a chair that could accommodate this. I tested out a stool and a gaming chair before arriving at this one. This chair is far more comfortable than the previous ones I tried. I have been using it for 2 months now and have had no problems.I would definitely recommend this chair as a cheap chair that is still comfortable.

More comfortable than it looks
There are modern office chairs, and there are modern office chairs. Having spent my life sitting on traditional 'operator' chairs (mostly from Wallis (now defunct) and good quality) I was rather sceptical about buying a Frankenstein looking bum perch, but worry not. This one is easy to put together (despite what some reviews have said) and is remarkably comfortable. The Office Hippo Mesh chair is not the cheapest, but having seen what nasty stuff some of the guys in our office got for £90, it's definitely a case of you get what you pay for.If you are a traditionalist then the old style chairs are still more padded and comfortable even if not ergonomically designed, but if you want to take a step into the modern world then you can do a lot worse than this. Enjoy!

Good and comfy seating for home office
Having tried these chairs at work, where a couple had been bought as replacements, I felt quite confident by purchasing one as a replacement for my home office. The seat pad is comfortable and the mesh back supportive so I feel upright and not putting strain on my back. The assembly instructions were good and the couple of extra bolts & washers as spares appreciated but not needed in this case. The only element I found tough was fixing the arm supports onto the seat back which as the two parts are quite curvy shapes is a bit tricky without an extra hand!

Not what it says on the label!
The chair is okay but it’s not a hippo chair that I ordered? The back of the chair is too far back to give you much support while working at your desk? You need to sit right back to feel the support and that’s not possible while working on your desk! When it said tilt control I presumed it meant the back but it doesn’t? You still need a cushion for any back support! A lot of money when you’re a) not getting the make of chair you order and b) doesn’t support your back, the reason I bought it! If I hadn’t put it together and thrown the box, I would have sent it back! Beware!

Decent chair for a budget.
Don't be fooled, this is a budget office chair, but a good one at that. It's easy to assemble, with very clear instructions and took me about 20-30 minutes. The parts are well indicated, which I greatly appreciated. It's pretty comfortable, a great improvement from the chair I was using before, and feels solid enough. Delivery was really quick, even to Ireland with free delivery (arrived in 3 days). This is not a lifetime purchase, but for students and general use it's perfectly acceptable and will surely last the time it was intended for.

Great once you have assembled it.
Once assembled this chair is superb. It is stylish and comfortable and looks great. However you need the IQ of Einstein and a degree in engineering to put it together. The main problem is that some of the screws are about an eighth of an inch shorter than they should be.

Good chair
I'm awful at building flat pack furniture but this took me about half hr to build and a colleague got the same chair and it took him twenty minutes.I need it for working from home and its comfy, looks nice and has adjustable height which is ideal because I have a reasonably low desk.I like the mesh back too considering we're in summer and it's got a nice back rest. My back appreciates it after ten weeks on a folding chair!Little costly but in current climate it was a struggle to get a chair for less than a hundred quid and its comfy so no complaints.
