I use these to work outdoors and they're great. I've owned packs of the slightly smaller rainbow-colored ones and they don't do as good a job at protecting from the sun, and are also less sturdy. It's important to understand that these are small - they're only meant to keep the sun and/or rain off your head and shoulders and really that's it. If you want something that's truly going to keep your body dry during a rainstorm I strongly recommend buying something larger. In my case they are the perfect size because I only need to keep the sun off my head and shoulders, and at the same time I need something that's not going to stick out so far that I"m bumping into things while I'm trying to work.

The harness is the downfall of an otherwise well made product. It doesn't fit well and the slightest nudge or winds dislodged it.

The best way to beat the heat is shade, so bring it with you. I do carnival setups and this hat has been a game changer for me. still allows airflow but keeps the sun off your neck head and shoulders. Make sure to use the chin strap in moderate wind, not suitable for high wind.Only suggestion I have: use a bandana or sweatband under the elastic strap for padding. I have a big head and the vertical supports kinda dig in.

It's great for keeping the sun out when reading or just sitting outside. I wanted it more for lawn mowing but I have too many trees and kept knocking it off.

As much as I like this hat umbrella, by my last count I already bought eleven of them. I have one in each car. I cannot do without them for health reasons.The spokes brakes very easily. I have to trash them each time. I imagine that I am not the only one with this experience. The spokes are not durable. The quality of the cloth is also poor. The paint used for the cover fades very easily.I hope I can find a better brand of the hat umbrella.I will attach photos next time.

I have a dog walking company in florida..Florida... summer is hot the sun is extreme but so is the rain, we are out everyday (my team and I) this provides not only shade from sun but it works great in light rain as well... 25inches is perfect coverage I have also worn it at the beach and in the pool You can even see your phone screen, and it stays cooler below :-)It does look like a riot ppl laugh but I don't care.. my skin thanks me!! Paid for 4 umbrellas and only received 2. Head band won't go down enough to the nape which makes it impossible to stay in place. Should've listened to the reviews, DON'T DO IT!
