Not worth the pricetag
I've never spent money on expensive brand name boots but figured now is the time after permanently moving to a very cold climate. Maybe I have higher expectations than some of the other reviews? First, these boots do run small. However, I have wide feet and they are ok in that way, in contrast to some other reviews about being narrow. These boots just seem very flimsy and thin- I was expecting a sturdier construction. I definitely am not looking for clunky boots, but there just isn't much material there. Also, the inside is not lined with fur or shearling but something that feels like fleece. They are warm but nothing extraordinary. Also an important note, the bottoms are somewhat slippery. Better after I scuffed them on the open pavement, but my walk down the snowy driveway almost ended badly for me.I honestly don't feel like these are any more special than the $25 I previously purchased at Walmart. I have them and wore them to test out so I can't return, but I won't be buying these again.

Winter Boots Easy to Walk In
12/3/18: While I think the price tag for these is hefty, I got excited to try these boots. When you're cold or approaching declining weather, warm and cozy items are all too attractive. Thanks to other reviews, I ordered 1/2 size up than usual and they fit well. I wouldn't want them smaller. They are soft and cozy as described. From the top looking down, with pants over the top of the shoe, they remind me of large sneakers. They're easy to walk in without clomping around like another pair of full sized snow boots I own. Good initial impression.I have only worn them taking my dog outside a couple times now, not for hours or in the snow yet, but they were warm and comfortable. If that changes with use and time in the next few months I will update my review.12/28/18: I love these boots. They are so darn comfortable. I've gotten compliments on them as well. I wear them to walk the dog and when running errands or short casual outings. I've worn them a couple times to commute to work (short walk to bus, bus to metro, metro to office), and I wore them all day Christmas day. (I don't know how I didn't burn up, but somehow they stayed comfortable and I didn't want to take them off.) I briefly wore them in light rain (mostly b/c I didn't know it'd rain) and they seemed just fine. The fronts are starting to get a bit scuffed but I hope they last for multiple seasons! No snow tests yet, but I bet that will change next month!

Too small, sturdy soles, cheaply sewn fabric
Im an 8/8.5 but I had to get a size 10 for these to fit...Theres plenty of length, but the toe box sinches down way too early and will press really tight on the tops of your toes if you wear them with anything even slightly thicker than regular socks. Also, the body of the shoe (despite being wide) is very tight all the way down your foot, even though the laces make it look adjustable (it isnt). The only part thats adjustable is the ankle part. The quality of the fabric is more along the lines of something worth $70, not $140. Suede is not a very long-lived material to begin with and it seems the suede they've chosen for these shoes is fairly cheap, so just beware of that if you were hoping for boots that will last several years.Warmpth-wise, I can't say, but it seems like these shoes are too thin to be warm in conditions below 15 degrees Fahrenheit. The sole of the shoe is very sturdy but still comfortable to walk in. Its attached really well and there is no visible glue. The treads are thick enough for snow but there isnt much stippling on the surface of the rubber itself and it's very flat (as opposed to cleated), so these boots likely wont make walking on ice any easier than regular tennis shoes.Style wise: The grey ones look great with light wash, dark wash, and black jeans, so they're really versatile. They would be lower-profile if you didn't have to go up so many sizes to get your foot to fit. Theyre sewn really cheaply, so the fabric bubbles out in random spots on each shoe and theres unsightly divets here and there.

Wish I could wear these everyday!
I wish I could wear these boots everyday! They are a beautiful design and extremely comfortable. As a teacher, I am constantly on my feet (in uncomfortable shoes most of the time!) and getting to wear these boots on the weekends is heavenly for my poor feet! They are durable and waterproof and well worth the money. I’d recommend these to anyone who needs to give their feet a break from their office shoes.

Great boots, but I would recommend purchasing them directly through Sorel
Ok so.... I love these boots. I am normally a 7.5-8, and I purchased the 8. I originally ordered them in the "coal" color, but returned them because the color wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. The first pair I bought came in the original Sorel box, wrapped in tissue paper, and fit perfectly. The second pair I purchased (in the tan and gray color shown), the boots came in a random repurposed box with no tissue paper. They seem to fit much tighter, and they have some scuffs and fading on them. Which is really disappointing considering the hefty price tag. As far as the boots go, I would recommend them, they are warm and comfortable. As far as purchasing them from Amazon, I'd advise away from it!! I'd assume I received a used pair that has been returned.

Fantastic boot, but size up!!! (Shoe comparison)
I ordered a size 9, but received a 10 which turned out to be a happy accident! Normally I wear a size 8.5 in athletic shoes and size 8 in open-toed shoes or sandals. I have high arches, a narrow heel and slightly wide forefoot. Size 8.5 Brooks (picturedhere in my review with the Sorrel boot) fit me PERFECTLY with regular socks. These size 10 boots are only slightly larger than my 8.5 shoe and fit me very comfortably with moderately thick wool socks. Very well made, soft, warm, SUPPORTIVE, and stylish! I'll be in the snow within a couple weeks, so I'll update my review then to note how it holds up in snow and ice.**UPDATE**I've been out in the rain and snow several times now, and my feet stay completely warm and dry. No notable staining on the leather. Definitely a keeper.

Perfect winter boots!
Love, love, love these boots! I'm size 6, and ordered size 7 based on previous sizing comments. Size 7 fits me perfectly with thin socks, although the insoles can be easily removed which allows for wearing thicker socks. The boots are well made, light and comfortable, and look stylish with skinny jeans. I tested them in cold, wet weather and my feet remained warm and dry. Water just beads on top, similar to a waterproof coat! I've been looking for a pair of practical winter boots and these fit the bill perfectly!

Fantastic!!!!
I wanted some waterproof/ element proof boots that I can wear to work. Snow boots generally are very puffy but not these. They are suede and lovely. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the contrasting laces. Every other colour had tonal laces, just not the black ones. Easily remedied as I also ordered a pair of black laces. My boots look fantastic now! With regard to sizing. I am a s5.5 and wen't up to a 6 and they fit perfectly. Comfortable straight away!

Sizing mystery solved - possibly
I hate to be smug but I think I've sussed out the sizing quandary. I ordered a 6 (usually 5.5) and they're gorgeous - and a bargain - and quite snug. BUT if you remove the removable inner sole, they go up by a size. so essentially you can change their size. Magic.Promotional text says:removable molded pu-like eva footbed, micro fleece top cover.Yes, I missed it too.

Get a whole size up...
Points of interest-Go up a full size, dont mess about taking out the insole because its actually comfortable, just get a size up.They are waterproof, BUT to a point, as they're suede, so the sole and around an inch from the bottom are waterproof, dont go standing in massive puddles with these. The fur is only around the top... however... the inside is padded on the sides right up until the toe area. The insoles as stated are comfortable , soft, great for walking on for long periods of time..These are medium width on the feet. I have wide feet and can still wear wool socks with these, but only thin ones.I have worn these all day at work, and yes, they're warm, yes, theyre soft on the feet, no rubbing at all. They look good and the quality is of sorel standard, so I believe these to be real.I happily recommend these, and I'd buy some more in a different colour in the future... I hope this helps you !

the perfect boots
I had read other reviews so ordered half size bigger than I would normally wear. absolutely perfect. These are the most comfortable boots I have worn in my life...and I wear them every day (despite the lack of snow). I absolutely love them.
